Located in a forest in eastern France, the Chateau is a great area inUncharted 3that allows players to take their time as they explore this beautiful ruin.
It’s almost a shame that this area is set alight near the end of the level… but one has to admit that, even in the blinding fire, the Chateau still manages to attain an aura of beauty that is hard to ignore.
8The Rossi Estate
The Rossi Estate serves as the stage for one of the more memorable levels inUncharted 4, featuring a romp through a heavily guarded auction house that is a blast to play through in every sense of the word.

From the scenic views that appear at the start of the level to the winding nature of the estate itself — the Rossi Estate serves as a great way to flesh out the characters ofUncharted 4while simultaneously being jam-packed with action.

Uncharted 3features a vast desert in the form of the Rub Al Khali, which actually serves as a rather impressive location for one of the more unique levels in the entire game.
It certainly helps that the mirages that Nate sees during his trek through this endless expanse make this level all the more striking to the eye… even though our lovable adventurer ends up getting the short end of the stick more often than not.

However, if the Rub Al Khali is beautiful in its own right, the city of Ubar — fittingly labeled as the Atlantis of the Sands — serves as a perfect way to cap off the journey through this desert.
With a fair bit of poisoned water that causes some intense hallucinations coupled with a finale where the city ends up sinking back into the desert’s recesses, Ubar is easily one of the most notable highlights in the entireUnchartedseries.
5New Devon
After both Nate and Elena end up sharing a moment that is anything but adorable— unless one finds the trials and tribulations of married life somewhat endearing — the duo ends up roaming around the beautiful area of New Devon, which is one of the more beautiful and visually-striking areas in the game.
It’s a shame that New Devon is crawling with Shoreline soldiers, since these sudden tense encounters can take away from an otherwise beautiful experience.
4Tibetan Village
After being shot and almost killed in a train crash in one ofUncharted 2’s more memorable sequences, the Tibetan Village where Nathan is restored serves as a much-needed break in a string of action sequences that were quite incredible in their own right.
This area of Tibet serves as one of the more peaceful and engaging parts of the entire experience… before the player decides to move forward in their quest to see Shambhala, that is.

3Shambhala
The major crux ofUncharted 2’s plot involves the gang trying to get to the mystical land of Shambhala — an area that was written off as nothing more than a myth for the longest time.

So, when the player finally manages to lay their eyes on this magical area, one can’t deny that the experience is something that will stick with them long after the game is finished. After all, Shambhala is a beautiful area that is a visual treat in every way, shape, and form.
2Libertalia
Speaking of mythical areas that most people considered to be nonexistent in theUnchartedseries, Libertalia is another such area in the fourth game that ends up being written off as a myth for the longest time… until the player manages to witness the area for themselves.
This long-forgotten pirate colony isan absolute treat to explore, and features some of the most memorable moments in a game that’s already chock-full of such instances.
1Nate’s House
The epilogue ofA Thief’s Endis definitely a tear-jerker, allowing players to control Nathan Drake’s daughter as she roams through a delightful beachside house and takes a gander atall the adventures that her parents had enjoyedover the course of theUnchartedseries.
What sells this epilogue is the fact that this house that Nathan and Elena have constructed is easily one of the most beautiful areas in the franchise and serves as a fitting way to end one of the greatest PlayStation-exclusive titles of all time.
