The puzzle levels spell out a familiar story: the plot ofNi No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch. This can be overlooked, as players don’t need to have picked up the first game to be able to play the second.

The three levels show the progression of a story featuring a boy, a fairy, a harpist, and a monster, among other characters. The statues on the levels must be visited in the right order, according to a book laid out for Evan. This order correlates to the story perfectly.

This in itself can be an arduous task, as the main story only gets players to level 70 — the rest needs to be done by grinding boss fights after the end of the game.

3Blue Chests Can Be Opened

Anyone that has playedNi No Kuniwill have come across those pesky blue chests. Eagerly running up to them, players expect to be able to pop them straight open, though this is sadly not the case. Never fear, there is a way to reap their sweet benefits — so make sure to keep a note of where these chests appear.

After reaching the Kingdom building section of the game, players should construct the Spellworks in Evermore as soon as possible, and then level up the kingdom and the Spellworks itself to level 3. After this, a specific spell development known as Spring Lock becomes available. This is the proverbial key to the blue chests, which can be nimbly pried open with the use of the spell.

2All Possible Party Members Gain EXP

In most games, if a prospective member is not used often, then they will not gain experience or level up outside of battle. InNi No Kuni, even if a fighter is not participating in a battle, they will still receive an amount of EXP and will level up passively. This saves a lot of time, and means players do not need to grind levels for all different members.Unlike other games, there is no need to activate an item or a buff in order for this effect to activate.
