Despite there being so many villagers already available, gamers still love coming up with their own. Those who playAnimal Crossing: New Horizonshave made a number of original villagers, oftentimes creating new animal residents that could easily fit into the game. Players also take inspiration from outside of the life simulator and come up with characters that are both impressive and humorous.

A Redditor going by the name CarnivalChrish posted a screenshot from an AI image generator that produced pictures of what actor Danny DeVito would look like as one ofAnimal Crossing: New Horizons’villagers. The results are both hilarious and disturbing, with the caption of the post being, “I want him to live on my island.” The AI image generator created what could lead to fun villagers, despite how weird some of them look.
Redditors are having fun with the images of the Danny DeVito villagers. One stated that they hope he moves onto the island with a house that has some trash cans and an egg in it, while CarnivalCrish added that they want his tagline to be “Rum ham,” a nod toIt’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Another user wants to see the villager move in with a new type ofshop inAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsand whisper to the player that they are growing special plants for a friend. Not everyone is a fan, however, as one commenter mentioned that they find the AI image generator’s results to be ugly and that they do not want him on their island.
CarnivalChrish is not the only one having fun creating villagers from outside sources. A Redditor known as StrawberryInu came up with anAnimal Crossing: New Horizonscharacter that is inspired by Khonshufrom theMoon Knightseries. The artist’s rendition has Khonshu take the form of an ostrich villager, maintaining the skeletal head that he sports in the show. The character has black feathers on its lower body and bandages covering most of its body, as well as the staff that he uses inMoon Knight. StrawberryInu’s villager take on Khonshu is spot on and could easily fit into the game.
