Social deduction gameAmong Usskyrocketed in popularity in 2020, and while it may not be quite as big as it once was, the game may soon get a huge boost of new players.Among Usdeveloper Innerslothhas finally confirmed theAmong Usrelease date for Xbox and PlayStation consoles, with the game set to debut on Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service the same day it launches.
Among Uswill launch for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on Tuesday, December 14.Among Uswill be a day one Xbox Game Pass game when it launches, and will primarily be a digital release. However, there will also be some physical versions ofAmong Uslaunching with a staggered release schedule in various regions.

TheAmong UsCrewmate Edition will retail for $29.99 and be available on December 14 in the UK and Europe, December 16 in Japan and South Korea, and June 11, 2025 in the US, Canada, and Latin America. The pricier Imposter Edition, retailing for $49.99, will launch in spring 2022 alongside theAmong UsEjected Edition, which costs $89.99. So those that want the physical edition ofAmong Usfor PlayStation or Xbox may have to wait a bit longer.
Among Usfans may be used to waiting, though, as they’ve been waiting quite a long time for the game to make its way to PlayStation and Xbox consoles. In fact, whenAmong Usreleases for Xbox Game Pass on December 14, it will have been over a year since theAmong UsXbox Game Pass announcementwas made at the 2020 Game Awards show.
Fans have been waiting a long time for theAmong Usconsole version in general. While the Xbox Game Pass version ofAmong Uswas announced last December, thePS4 and PS5 versions ofAmong Uswere announced in April. Innersloth had hoped to launchAmong Uson PlayStation and Xbox consoles in September, but those plans were pushed back so the developers could better optimize those versions of the game.
While theAmong Usconsole versionshave been a long time coming, at least there is now an end in sight. Fans of the social deduction game will soon have more options to play it, and its debut on PlayStation and Xbox should help it find an even wider audience.Among Usfans can mark their calendars and start counting down the days to December 14.
