WithApex Legendsand theTitanfallfranchise taking place in the same universe, Respawn Entertainment has slowly strengthening the tie between both IPs together through new content updates, characters, and lore. Recently, fans seeminglyresurrected the simulacrum Ash, last seen as a boss character inTitanfall 2,while villain Kuben Blisk is the founder and organizer of these Apex Games.
In addition to lore and characters,Apex Legendsfans are also waiting for certain mechanics fromTitanfallto make their way over to this popular battle royale as well. While Respawn has alreadyshot down the idea of bringing Titans into the gamedue to throwing the balance off, fans have constantly requested another popularTitanfallstaple. Wall running is a major component of Titanfall’s fast paced mobility, though it’s curiously absent inApex Legends.

Unfortunately, Respawn recently confirmed that it has no plans to add the mechanic intoApex Legends, though that hasn’t stopped players from attempting to add their own bit of creativity when it comes to getting around the game’s world. The closest players will get to this movement is going to be with the speedy character Octane thanks to his unique ability to drop a launch pad, which seems to have unintended effects on the game when used in a certain way.
Reddit user zZsr56zZ used Octane’s launch pad onthe new Olympus mapin an area near the gardens. Here, there’s a massive Hammond Electronics billboard that can be used to simulate wall running. After dropping a launch pad and flying along the side at the sign while using a Stim causes the character to seemingly run along the massive billboard at high speeds. Clearly, this is a bug however as Octane drops like a rock once he reaches the end of the billboard, but it’s still an interesting look at what a feature like wall running could add to the game.
This glitch is pretty similar toanother recently found unofficial Octane abilityjust from a few days ago. While standing under a bridge, a player throws a launch pad at the edge of the ledge they’re standing on to fling themselves at the underside of the bridge. Using his double jump passive ability and the momentum from the launch pad, the player is able to seemingly walk on air under the bridge to make it to the other side and pick up their teammate’s banner.
Apex Legendsis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Switch version in the works.
