According to the reveal, this new collaboration coming to the battle royale begins on June 08, 2025, and will feature cosmetics related to the upcoming Square Enix game. Based on the trailer, at least three new skins are coming to the battle royale based on characters fromFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Specifically, Crypto looks to have a Cloud Strife skin, while Horizon appears dressed as Aerith and Wraith as Vincent Valentine.

In addition to a release date, the Games Awards reveal featured a cinematic that included some of the characters fromApex Legends. In the brief animation, Horizon and Wraith inspected what looked likeCloud’s Buster Sword, which was stuck in the ground. The trailer then showed Crypto manage to pull the weapon out, with the video transitioning to in-game footage of the Legend swinging it around. While details about the event are slim, this suggests the weapon could be useable in some fashion.
Unfortunately, it is unclear how the upcomingFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthcosmetics forApex Legendswill be obtained. While sometimes the game features prize trackers for themed items, it is also possible that these new skins for Horizon, Crypto, and Wraith will only be available through the in-game shop via Apex Coins. However, fans will have to wait for more information from the developer to know for sure.
This latest crossover news comes asApex Legendsis in Season 19, Ignite.
