From the data found by Biast12, it looks Season 8 is going to eventually focus on the toxic Legend. Kings Canyon has seen changes for the season, and it sounds like one area is going to focus on Caustic. The data miner leaks two voice lines from the signature character which connect to a toxic spill. The tip-offs Causticdescribes include how the destruction erupted a gas pocket resulting in a massive supply of toxins. He hopes to refine the poison into something great and use the other characters as human test subjects.

The implication from these voice lines is that the new area will be a Town Takeover by Caustic. Though, according to Biast12 it will still take a few weeks before players get access to this update. That said, the leaker also includes theApex Legendsteaser dates that are coming up. There are four shown here taking place on February 1, 25, 27 and March 1. There is no official confirmation yet, but it is looking more likely that the Caustic change will be coming in a couple of months.

Players should take this information with a grain of salt, butApex Legendsdata leakscan be reliable. With the actual audio logs available for fans to check out on Biast12’s twitter, there is at least something involving Caustic coming down the pipeline. Whether or not it will actually be a Town Takeover remains to be seen, but it sounds like fans will find out soon. In any case, keeping the experience fresh is a good sign that Respawn is still devoting time into the game.

Some fans may doubt Biast12’s assertion due to the nature of the specific leak. The voice lines, while fairly specific, are no confirmation of a entire area of map getting a Caustic theme. With the teaser dates unofficial too, there is a chance that this information will not result in anything solid. Fanswho have unlocked Causticshould keep a watch out in the next few weeks to see if there are any major announcements forApex Legends.

Apex Legendsis available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Switch version releasing on March 9.
