Although it’s been five years since its release,Titanfall 2has received a lot of love from the gaming community as of late, no doubt in part to the crossover events with Respawn Entertainment’s other first-person shooter,Apex Legends. As the two are set in the same universe, they share a lot in common; guns, characters, and plenty of lore connecting them; however, one ofTitanfall’s best features, its parkour, didn’t make the cut forApex, that is, until now.

Posted on Twitter by user @MokeySniper, this video shows what it would be like ifApex Legendshad includedTitanfall’s wall running and boost jumps, and it looks pretty incredible. If nothing else, the video serves as a reminder about how great the movement inTitanfall 2is and also as a prime example of why it wasn’t included inApex.

MokeySniper explains in the comments of the same video posted on his YouTube channel that he was able to achieve wall running through a modded version ofApexthat exists completely separate from the main game. That means that he wouldn’t be able to use any of the wall running skills from his modded version in real online matches.

The video has plenty of fans realizing that, whileTitanfall-style movement is a frequently requested feature forApex, it might not actually be a good addition after all. Sure, it looks like a lot of fun but based on the relatively high time-to-kill inApexcompared toTitanfall 2, it would make the battle royale impossibly hard.

Titanfall’s pilots' loadoutactually exists inApex Legends; however, it’s spread out across multiple characters’ tactical abilities. For example, Pathfinder can use the grappling hook introduced in theTitanfall 2multiplayer, and Octane can grant all of his teammates a double jump if they run over his boost pad. Additionally, every character has the ability to climb up and hang off of walls just like pilots could.

It seems unlikely that wall running will ever be added toApex, at least in the current game modes, as it just adds too much speed to an already fast-paced game. It could potentially work if added to a game mode separate from the battle royale or Arenas. Still, asArenas was only recently added for Season 9, it’s unlikely that another brand-new game mode would be coming anytime soon.

Apex Legendsis available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
