Resident Evilfans looking to play recent games in the series on the go should know that both theResident Evil 4remake andResident Evil Villageare getting native releases on Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro.Tech giant Appleis currently hosting its big Wonderlust event, using the opportunity to reveal the major new products it has in the pipeline. One of the most exciting new pieces of hardware coming out of Apple is the iPhone 15 Pro, which is set to launch on September 22.
TheiPhone 15 Prowill cost $999 at launch, while the beefier iPhone 15 Pro Max will cost $1199. Pre-orders for both phones open on September 15. Gamers may want to consider getting their hands on the iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max, as the devices will represent significant upgrades for mobile gaming and be able to play some modern console games natively.

This includes two of Capcom’s more recentResident Evilgames, the previously mentionedResident Evil 4remake andResident Evil Village. Specific release dates for the iPhone 15 Pro versions ofResident Evil VillageandResident Evil 4remake are not available at the time of this writing, but they are both expected to come out at some point later this year.
TheResident Evil 4remake is the latest game in Capcom’s long-running survival-horror franchise. It retains much of what made the originalResident Evil 4popular back in the day, but with significantly improved graphics and a darker, more horror-focused tone. The remake makes a number of enhancements to the core gameplay, though it does lack some of thebonus modes that were available in the originalRE4back in the day.
Resident Evil Village, meanwhile, first launched in 2021. Whereas theResident Evil 4remake is a third-person shooter,Resident Evil Villageutilizes the first-person perspectivepopularized byResident Evil 7.Villagefeatures a similar rural setting asRE4, but has players contending with completely different kinds of monsters. Both games earned critical acclaim and should make excellent additions to the iPhone 15 Pro game lineup.
Resident Evil 4andResident Evil Villagearen’t the only games coming to the iPhone 15 Pro. It’s also been announced thatHideo Kojima’sDeath Strandingis coming to iPhone 15 Pro at some point in 2023, whileAssassin’s Creed Miragewill release for the platform at an unspecified date in 2024.
