News of a unique new NPC was first revealed in the recentpatch notes forAssassin’s Creed Mirage, teasing the arrival of a new Easter egg for players to locate. The patch notes stopped well short of spoiling the surprise of who or what was added, only hinting that the special assassin was “purrusing” the streets and that players should be sure to take a photo if they “meownage” to find them. Clearly, the tease was referencing another cat-related secret forAssassin’s Creed Mirageplayers to track down.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Hidden One Cat

The confirmation originally came from a user named Lieven, who shared the discovery inside of a Discord channel for the content creator known as JorRaptor. After sharing a short clip of the new interaction with the Hidden One dressed cat, the officialAssassin’s Creedaccount confirmed the rumors that players can locate this special kitty roaming the streets ofUbisoft’s take on 9th century Baghdadduring the reign of the Abbasid Caliphate.

This isn’t the first cat relatedEaster egg thatAssassin’s Creed Miragehas hidden. While there doesn’t seem to be a shortage of wild cats roamingAssassin’s Creed: Mirage, there was one in particular that players could come across who had what appeared to be the assassin’s icon on its nose. While that alone may seem like a neat nod to the overall franchise, the design was actually based on a real life cat who was owned by a fan of the franchise that passed away prior to the release ofAssassin’s Creed Mirage. The cat’s inclusion is a way for that particular fan to be honored by the developers.
