There are several clothing items and gear players can find inBaldur’s Gate 3that grant them special abilities or buffs. Players can equip armor, boots, gloves, and more as long as they are proficient with their type and class. Most of the time, the more rare an item is, the better properties it will have.
One uncommon item worth finding is thePoisoner’s Robe. The Robe works well withmagic users such as Wizardsand Druids. Anyone creating a Poison Caster build will want to pick up the Robe as soon as possible, which can be done in Act 1. Players can use this guide to find the Poisoner’s Robe inBaldur’s Gate 3.

How to Get the Poisoner’s Robe in Baldur’s Gate 3
The Poisoner’s Robe is found in Blighted Village during Act 1. Blighted Village is between Emerald Grove andthe Goblin Campand is overrun by Absolute followers. When players first enter Blighted Village, they can start a fight or avoid one, depending on their choices.
Once past the entrance, players can explore Blighted Village. Look for a well near the center next to the Waypoint to find the Poisoner’s Robe. Players must approach the well and interact with it. Then, there’s an investigation check that requires a 10 to pass. Passing reveals there’s a small light at the bottom of the well.

Go ahead and climb down the bucket to continue. The well leads to an underground cave covered in spider webs. Players will find poisonous enemies, including giant spiders, so be wary. Before going in too deep, players can duck off to the first room on the left andpick up the Spiderstep Bootsfrom a chest inside. TheSpiderstep Bootsmake the wearer immune to becoming Enwebed, and webbed surfaces don’t affect movement speed.
Players have two options to move forward. First, if they have a companion with high stealth, they can ungroup them and sneak further into the cave to pursue the Poisoner’s Robe. The Poisoner’s Robe is found on a matriarch spider calledthe Phase Spider Matriarch, located at the back of the cave. If players manage to sneak close enough without being spotted, they can pickpocket her and steal the Robe.

Of course, players can fight their way through. After entering the first area, four enemies wait for them. They mainly use poison attacks and webbing, so using Antidotes and the Spiderstep Boots will grant players a slight advantage.
After all the enemies in the first room are taken care of, players can keep moving deeper into the cave. Eventually, they will encounter the Phase Spider Matriarch and two giant spiders in a room with several web bridges.

How to Beat Phase Spider Matriarch
The Phase Spider Matriarch mainly uses a teleportation spell, a wrath spell, andpoison attacks. She can also approach the Phase Spider egg cloisters throughout the room and hatch them to add more enemies to the fight.
Destroy the egg clusters before engaging in combat to prevent her from hatching them.

If the spiders appear on any web bridges, players can destroy them using a ranged attack. The spiders will take a large amount of fall damage. Using the environment during this fight is wise to avoid getting overwhelmed. Once the Phase Spider Matriarch is down, players can loot her and pick up the Poisoner’s Robe.
The Poisoner’s Robe isan uncommon clothing itemwith an AC of 10. The wearer also gains the ability Poison Trails and deals an additional one to four Poison Damage when a poison spell is cast.
