There are many players who are going to be able to instantly take to the game and all of its rather unique mechanics, but there are also people who may struggle a little bit. These are some beginner tips that a player should know before diving in.

7Keep A Close Eye On Your Surroundings

A player should remember to alwayskeep an eye out on their surroundingsbecause there are many things for them to interact with. Some things may be subtle at first (and thus be missed), but are actually essential for a player to complete their task.

Luckily, it is relatively easy to spot things that can be interacted with as long as a player hovers the camera over them. When a player does so, a small circle will appear over objects that can be interacted with, so keep an eye out for those.

6Dialogue Is Important, Listen Closely

Of course, a player should not just skipthe dialogue of any game, but it is especially important for a player to pay attention inSyberia: The World Before. Dialogue is going to be the player’s way of figuring out where to go next, without spelling it out.

A player should remember that, if they get lost, they can also talk to people on the street in order to get a refresher on where to go next. Essentially, dialogue acts like a reminder system, in case a player forgets what’s next.

5There Is No Time Limit

Luckily, there are no time limits when it comes to solving the puzzles that are laid out before a player while going through the gameSyberia: The World Before. There are lots of puzzles for a player to go through, of course, so the lack of a time limit is good.

A player can take all the time they want to try everything they can to solve their puzzles. Soon enough, a player will be sure to unlock the solution to any puzzle they are working on with enough time.

4Look For The Hint Icon

Even without the use of a time limit, there are still going to be many players who are going to end up getting stuck on their puzzles one way or another. As such, the hint function in the gameSyberia: The World Beforeis going to be very useful.

The hint icon is always in the upper right corner of the player’s screen and sometimes comes in multiple segments for longer puzzles. Each segment will be a different hint to push the player in the right direction.

3Wait For The Hint Icon To Fill Up

Unfortunately, while a player may end up relying on their hints a lot, it is worth noting that the hint system will not allow a player to instantly get another hint after just having one. They are going to have to wait for a little bit before they can use it.

The hint icon will start to fill up slowly during gameplay - once the bar is fully filled, a player will be able to get another hint. As such, players on aparticularly hard puzzlewill unfortunately have to be patient.

2Feel Free To Try Some Side Objectives

There aremultiple side objectives that a player can try out. Although these side objectives are not really something that will benefit a player in the long run - such as giving an item or something similar - they are still good for completionists to unlock trophies.

Side objectives are a lot more hidden than main objectives. Hints will not be used for helping a player track down side objectives, so they will just have to keep a close eye out for anything that could lead them into the new area for their objective.

1Side Objectives Must Be Completed Before The Main One

It may seem tempting to hold off on working on a few side objectives while the main objective is in progress. After all, it couldn’t hurt to just do a little bit more toward the main objective before working on side quests, right?

Unfortunately, if a player wants to do their side objectives, it would be best to do sobeforethe main objective. Finishing main quests could bring players to a new area or even a new chapter, which means that any side quests left behind will be permanently unused for the rest of the game unless a player goes back in their file to do them.
