10He Was Born In The USSR

If the player reads Weaver’s dossier, they learn he was born in the Soviet Union. His father was a local figure who was killed during Stalin’s purges. This caused his mother to defect to the United States during World War II, bringing Weaver with her.

Weaver also had a younger sister who he believed died during the purge. However, Intel reveals she lived, instead dying in child birth in the USSR in 1955. At an unknown point, Weaver joined the CIA and started to work against his former homeland.

Weaver discovered that his sister survived Stalin’s Purge and was adopted into a new family. She went on to marry and have a daughter, whom Weaver believes lives in Moscow. Weaver is desperate to find his niece as she is the only blood relative he has left. Despite this, a high-ranking individual says not to search for her.

It is revealed through other messages and intel that Weaver’s niece, Kristina Raskova, worked for the KGB and GRU. She would be part of an operation toeliminate Alex Mason, but it seems the mission was canceled.

During the operation to eliminate Mason, Weaver was also a target. The CIA believed Weaver and Jason Hudson were helping Mason, and designated them as enemies. The CIA was to team up with MI-6 and eliminate the trio whom they saw as threats to the country. The mission was most likely canceled, as Weaver appears inCold War Black Opsas part of the faction Requiem.

Intelfrom the zombie mapFirebase Z also mentions that Weaver was designated as an enemy of the CIA, but this was rescinded at a later date. This designation also caused trouble, with some agents not wanting to lead the strike team.

7Became Leader Of Zombie Fighting Force

Despite some agents pushing against Weaver being the strike force leader, he was eventually promoted to the position. He dealt with anomalies and zombie outbreaks around the world. After being contacted by his associate, Samantha Maxis, he would lead a strike team to close a rift at an old Nazi base.

Other missions included one to an old base in Vietnam and another mission to the Ural Mountains. He did all of this to combat a Soviet group, Omega Group, from obtaining the technology and research relating to these outbreaks.

6His Accent Varies At Times

At random points during theBlack Opscampaign, players can notice that Weaver’s accent changes, going from a Russian one to an American one. While some might assume the accent changes come from Weaver growing up in the United States, the change is too drastic.

A good example of this can be found in the mission WMD inBlack Ops.During the part where he tells players there is an RPG on the ridge, a deep Russian accent can be heard. When preparing to infiltrate the base, however, he says ‘Ready when you are’ with a distinct American accent.
