Thanks-hoarding is a unique season 8 Thanksgiving episode that is focused more on Teddy. The episode follows the Belchers trying to help Teddy host Thanksgiving for his family coming to visit. Bob agrees to help cook Thanksgiving dinner for Teddy while Linda and the kids set up the dining room.

After visiting Teddy’s home they learn that he is in fact a hoarder. Bob and the family try and explain to Teddy that he has a problem, but it ends up making things worse. It’s later learned that Teddy’s unpleasant childhood with his family is why he’s a hoarder. After learning his family isn’t coming for dinner, the Belchers eat Thanksgiving with Teddy, so he isn’t alone. It’s episodes like this that remind people that Teddy is more than just a goofball and should be considered one of the family.

4Bed And Breakfast

One of the first episodes to heavily feature Teddy was Bed and Breakfast in season 1. In this episode Linda has the idea to turn the Belcher home into a bed and breakfast, with Teddy of course being their first customer. This causes a conflict with Louise since it is her room that is being rented out for Teddy.

The episode introduces us to how wholesome and carefree Teddy can be. Teddy’s forever happy mood is tested by Louis throughout the episode which leads to some memorable gags. The episode also teaches us that Teddy is deathly afraid of people in large animal costumes, something Louise uses to her advantage towards the end.

3Friends With Burger-Fits

Friends With Burger-Fits is a season 5 episode that focuses onTeddy and Bob’s friendship. After realizing that Teddy’s obsession with eating burgers may be having negative affects on his health, Bob feels responsible and tries to convince him to change his diet. Teddy of course refuses to give up burgers but does agree to start exercising with Bob. Bob then gets dragged into signing up for a stuntman boot camp with Teddy.

During the camp they get involved in dangerous yet hilarious drills and exercises. Bob later becomes frustrated and explains how Teddy isn’t really his best friend but more like his best customer. Teddy overhears this and is heartbroken. After reconciling at the end of the episode, Bob and Teddy’s friendship is stronger than ever and makes Friends With Burger-Fits a truly memorable story.

2Uncle Teddy

Uncle Teddy is a season 4 episode where Teddy made his title debut. The episode follows Teddy as hebabysits the Belcher kidswhile Bob and Linda are away for the weekend. This is the first episode where Teddy is really shown as being one of the family.

He bonds with Gene and Louise while teaching them how to remove massive hair clogs from the sink and manages to help Tina with teenage boy trouble. Tina even refers to him as uncle Teddy for the first time. Teddy really comes through for the whole family here and earns respect from all of them. Episodes like this solidify Teddy as a good friend and a responsible adult when he wants to be.

1Sea Me Now

Sea Me Now is a season 7 episode that features Teddy taking the Belchers on a trip in his new boat. The Belchers quickly learn that Teddy only bought this boat to impress his ex-wife Denise. The Belchers along with Teddy on a boat for an entire episode makes for some of the show’s funniest moments. As Teddy fails to impress Denise, Bob and the family convince him that he doesn’t need her to be happy. This episode is one of the few timesBob’s Burgersexplores Teddy’s past and loneliness.

Teddy’s sad love life is often the butt of jokes in the show, but this episode reminds viewers how important the Belchers are as a support system for Teddy. Sea Me Now is a both hilarious and surprisingly sad glimpse into Teddy’s personal life. It’s hard to think of an episode thatcaptures his characteras perfectly as this.
