Call of Duty: Warzoneintroduced the idea of Gulag to great reception. Players liked having the opportunity to stay in the game even after dying once if they were able to prove themselves and earn the right to redeploy. Unfortunately, the interesting idea hasspawned a lot of different glitches and bugswhich inhibit its usefulness.

NowCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers have found yet another bug, this one comes from Redditor Hampton09. Essentially, if the player is hit by a thermite immediately before killing their opponent, then both players will be out of the game and unable to continue.

This happens because the thermite seems to stay on the player even after theloading screen right before the player redeploys. Hampton09 shares the video of their character redeploying only to get downed by the thermite stuck to their character causing them to plummet into the ground at full speed.

Althoughmany loveCall of Duty: Warzone, it can’t be denied that the game is riddled with various bugs, glitches, and the like that cause games to go strangely sometimes. This sentiment is made clear by the reaction of people in the comments section of the post, most of which are unphased or unsurprised. Many even take jabs atWarzone’s infamously large update files, claiming that the next large update will fix this issue and only this issue. What’s more, other players claim that the same thing has happened to them, meaning this may not even be a rare occurrence.

Unfortunately, there isn’t much players can do toavoid this glitch. The obvious answer is don’t let enemies land a thermite, but that is obviously much easier said than done. From a community perspective, if players all tried to use less thermites in Gulag to minimize this happening, that could help, but that is unlikely to happen for a lot of reasons. If anything, trolls may see this and begin using thermites in Gulag more, taking up an “if I can’t redeploy then no one can” mentality. Either way, it is something to watch out for.

This isn’t the firstglitch relating toCall of Duty: Warzone’s Gulagand it certainly won’t be the last, but hopefully Infinity Ward sees this and fixes it sometime soon. Earning the right to redeploy feels great, but having it taken away so swiftly would be rather disheartening.

Call of Duty: Warzoneis available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
