Call of Duty: Warzoneis nearing the end of Season 3, with many expecting the Season 4 start date to be as early as June 3. Whether or not that’s the case remains to be seen, but Activision has been ramping up theWarzoneSeason 4 hype. The latest tease comes in the form of a “top secret” message that Activision included in its latestCall of Dutyblog post, teasing exactly what’s in store forCall of Duty: WarzoneSeason 4.
The message, which can be read in its entirety at the bottom of this post, is addressed to “all armistice operators” in Verdansk, theWarzonebattle royale map. It talks about a “prototypical weapon” and encourages players to listen in on theRussian phone messagesthat they can find all over the map. This is a direct reference to howWarzoneplayers can get codes to open the bunker doors by listening to the phone messages in the game.

It then goes on to talk more about the SMG, which is a “custom-built submachine gun.” Presumably, this is in reference to theMP7 Mud Dauber SMGthat players can find inWarzone’s Bunker 11, but it’s also possible that it is referencing one of the new weapons that are going to be added as part ofWarzoneSeason 4. The Vector SMG has already leaked for the game, so perhaps this message is referencing that.
The message also mentions the threat of “thermonuclear war,” which fits into narrative surrounding theWarzonenuke. For the uninitiated,Warzoneplayers have also found a nuke in Bunker 11, with many believing that it will play a key role in the game’s next big event. The running theory is that the nuke will explode and change theWarzonemap in some significant way, not unlike howFortnitechanges each map from one season to the next.
So far, it’s unclear exactly what is happening inCall of Duty: Warzone’s Season 4. Teases indicate that it will involveCaptain Price as a playable operator, but beyond that, details remain scarce. Other reports claim thatWarzoneSeason 4 will be used to revealBlack Ops Cold Warto the masses, but that also remains to be seen.
Dataminers have found evidence thatBlack Opscontent, like the RC-XD killstreak and Cold War-era spy lanes, could be coming toWarzonesoon, but nothing official has been announced. Fans will want to keep an eye out while playing just in case they come across any additional teases or secrets in the meantime.
