Warzonehas seen several game modes in the last several months, from money-filled Plunder to party-filled Quads. Through all of these games, oneCall of Dutystaple has been missing: Zombies. From in-game documents posted to Twitter, it appears thatWarzonemay be looking to have a zombie mode added in.
Players will recognize Spaceland as a zombie map fromInfinite Warfare, which featured a fun movie atmosphere with astronaut zombies. One classified document that players have found inWarzonefeatures a Spaceland title. There is also a large black and white picture of an astronaut zombie, which further supports the theory.
Fans are already divided about the possible addition of zombies inWarzone. Many fans like the idea of a new game mode, provided it is a separate mode and not in every match ofWarzone. Others carry a dislike for the Spaceland zombies in particular and are hesitant to want them in the battle royale game. There always is the possibility that the pictures are just stock images that were reused unintentionally, but with how many easter eggsCall of Dutygames have, that seems very unlikely.
TheCall of Dutygame modes can’t please everyone, but there is always room to try something new. The fear is that adding zombies into the battle royale may be too similar to the otherCall of Dutyfree-for-all,Blackout, and might end up ruining what many consider to be the current best battle royale. The hope is that any addition is done in a way that is new and exciting, rather than reusing the same mechanics that hardcore fans have been playing for the past decade.
