Call of Duty: Vanguard’s M1 Garand
The M1 Garand seen inCall of Duty: Vanguardis one of the more iconic weapons in the series. Of the semi-auto marksman rifles to have featured prominently in World War 2, the M1 Garand is possibly the most recognizable for its trademark ping. This ping is present inCall of Duty: Vanguard, which makes the M1 Garand a weapon to check out for more nostalgicCall of Dutyfans and history buffs alike. While still a popular weapon, it hasn’t quite reached the heights it did inCall of Duty: World at War’smultiplayer, which is a shame.
Despite declining in popularity compared to olderCall of Dutygames, the M1 Garand can be one of thebest weapons inCall of Duty: Vanguardin the right hands. The M1 Garand is a very flexible weapon, holding the ability to be a great gun for fans of assault rifles or sniper rifles. While it may struggle to match either class at their strengths, the M1 Garand blurs the line between the two, making it the perfect weapon for a varied playstyle. Being a two-shot kill weapon, it can win gunfights in short order, but to do so players need to ensure they are able to land their shots accurately.
Best Attachments for Call of Duty: Vanguard’s M1 Garand
Call of Duty: Vanguard’sgunsmithis a great way to build upon the base attributes of any weapon, and in the case of the M1 Garand it may be essential. Given the M1 Garand’s semi-auto firing rate, it’s important to land shots accurately and reduce recoil as much as possible. The M1 Garand is a mid- to long-range weapon, therefore improving the damage range could help M1 Garand users to pick off enemy players from afar. Gunsmith is a great way to take any weapon up a notch, and the M1 Garand can receive major improvements, completely transforming it from its base form.
None ofCall of Duty: Vanguard’soperatorshave the M1 Garand as their favorite weapon, so there are no XP boosts available. There are, however, a number of attachments that can make the gun a lot more useful. The first of which are the F8 Stabilizer muzzle, the Copper 25” Custom barrel, and the Heavy Foregrip, which will improve the M1 Garand’s accuracy, recoil, and damage range, but with slight decreases to mobility.
The final attachment, the Chariot S3 TC, offers major improvements to aiming stability, flinch resistance, and recoil control, again with drawbacks to mobility. Players can also equip Vital Proficiency to increase critical hit zones, and if they do the M1 Garand may be among the best weapons inCall of Duty: Vanguard.
