Now, Reddit user MooLawnMushu has shared a path that serves as a reimagining of the board gameCandy Land. A decorative outline of candy on the ground is filled in with colored squares designating player spots, which appear to have been built with customized rugs using theTouch of Magic system. Finally, a candy house is positioned at the end of the path, taking the place of the traditional Candy Castle one would find in the board game. MooLawnMushu says that the work is still very much in progress, but the creation is already being applauded by the community. The comments responding to the post are full of fans waxing nostalgic due to the similarities between the recreation and the originalCandy Land.
Many players professed that they’ve considered building something similar, or were otherwise inspired byCandy Landin some way in their worlds. However, several pointed out a missing feature inDisney Dreamlight Valleythat they’re still yearning for - multiplayer. UnlikeAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, players can’t visit friends in the game, so while this board game recreation looks like a lot of fun, there’s no way to partake in actually having a game on it with other players. However, multiplayer is coming toDisney Dreamlight Valleysometime this year, so players just need to be patient for now.
The game seems to have a bright future ahead, as it has already seen numerous content updates, though there are still Disneycharacters that haven’t come toDisney Dreamlight Valleyyet. The game is set to receive a full release later this year, but players have already shown their immense creativity with the tools and assets currently available to them. It’ll be interesting to see how the player base’s creations are inspired and fueled as the game expands further.
