There are multiple endings inDark Souls 3just like there are multiple NPCs. While most of the NPCs inDark Souls 3have questlines to follow, only two of them can affect the ending of the game and they are tied to each other.

Yuria of Londor is an important NPC that will find themselves in Firelink Shrine early in the game. Her questline will eventually lead to players meeting Anri of Astora and completing the Usurp the Flame Ending to the game. This ending is also known as the Lord of Hollows ending.
Deal With Yoel Of Londor
Yoel is one of the first NPCs that players will come across once they leave Firelink Shrine. He is found shortlyafter defeating Vordtof the Boreal Valley. After going to the new area via flying demons, players will need to run down the stairs and down the destroyed bridge to where a ton of pilgrims are.
While they all appear dead, one of them is still alive. This is Yoel. Send him to Firelink Shrine. Talk to him there and choose the Draw out True Strength option. This will make the player a Hollow. After dying and drawing out enough strength, Yoel will die and Yuria will take his place.
Follow Anri’s Questline
Anri and Yuria’s questlines intersect after meeting Yuria. To progress her questline further, players will need to meet Anri and Horace at the Road of Sacrifices. After talking to them, players will need to defeat the Deacons of the Deep boss.

Once the boss is defeated, talk to Anri in Firelink Shrine. This will cause them to move to the Catacombs of Carthus. After progressing through the Catacombs, find Anri at the Church of Yorshka bonfire in Irithyll. There is an assassin in the room. Leave them be and kill Pontiff Sulyvahn. Once he is dead, head back to Firelink and talk to Yuria.
Find The Ceremony Room & Perform The Ceremony
Shortly after defeating Pontiff Sulyvahn, players will find themselves inAnor Londo. After getting past all of the Silver Knights, players will come across a large room with a statue of Lord Gwyn. Hit the statue to discover it is an illusory wall.
Follow the path down to find the assassin who was hiding in the room with Anri earlier. Talk to them to learn about the ceremony and receive a weapon. Head into the ceremony room to find Anri laying on a platform. Walk up to get a cutscene where they are killed by the player character. The ceremony is finished but not the questline.
Consume The Flame
Now it is up to players to beat the rest of the game. Once they reach thefinal boss, they will have the option to summon Yuria to help. After defeating the boss, the player will get an option to take the flame instead of snuffing it out. Once that is done, players can head back to Firelink to find Yuria’s items on the ground where she once stood.
