One of the most anticipated releases of the year,Deathloophas wowed plenty of critics and fans alike with its immersive sim elements set with a time loop as a backdrop. There is plenty to see and discover in the game as each map is packed full of small details and secrets making for a satisfying trophy hunting experience. Not all trophies, however, are as straightforward as simply uncoveringthe secrets that Blackreef has hidden awayas is the case with “Spoiled for Choice,” a trophy that requires a little bit of planning and a few completed side missions.

The “Spoiled for Choice” trophy inDeathloopasks players to “infuse one of each type of weapon” which seems simple enough. It actually might not be available to be unlocked for some players until the latter half of the game once they feel confident in their ability to complete a handful of arsenal leads.

Unlocking ‘Spoiled for Choice’ in Deathloop

The first major requirement in unlocking “Spoiled for Choice” is that Colt needs to have the ability to infuse items. This shouldn’t be too difficult as the ability unlocks following the completion of the mission “Ubiquity” early on inDeathloop’s main story. Once that’s completed, players can infuse items using Residuumensuring that they’ll be available in Colt’s arsenal at the start of each day. Now that the player has the ability, it’s time to start infusing each weapon type.

It’s likely that players will have already infused a handful of weapons by the time they start hunting for trophies, so they’ll need to make sure that they’ve infused at least one of each type. There are different variants of each weapon depending on their rarity ranking, but all follow the same classifications. The commonly found weapon types are as follows:

Deathloop Sepulchra Breteira

  • PT-6 ‘Spiker'

  • MG-1 ‘Pepper Mill’

These weapons shouldn’t be too difficult to find as most groups of Eternalists carry a wide range of weapons while patroling Blackreef. The only weapon not carried by enemies other than Julianna is the PT-6 ‘Spiker,’ but one can be found every morning inColt’s apartment in Updaam, so it’s not a bad idea to stop there first to grab one.

Players can load into a level, kill a handful of Eternalists, stock up on weapons and Residuum, and then leave the level to infuse each gun. After repeating that step a few times, players should be able to get and infuse all eight commonly found weapons. It’s important to note thatDLC weapons won’t count as infused items in the eyes of the trophy, so players will need to make sure to grab and infuse duplicates of any DLC guns.

Unique Weapons

Once that’s completed, players will need to hunt down the four unique weapons that aren’t found on the bodies of Eternalists. These ones will take a little bit more work to find, but one can be snagged during the main story.

The four unique weapons are called theStrelak Verso, the Sepulchra Breteira, the Constancy Automatic, and the Heritage Gun. The Constancy Automatic can be easily grabbed off of the body of Frank in Fristad Rock in the morning: simply completing hisVisionary leadshould bring players right to him and to his unique weapon.

The other three unique weapons require players to complete a handful of different side missions. The Strelak Verso can be picked up in the Ordinance Depot section of the Complex at Noon. Obtaining it requires players to solve a battery puzzle, but overall isn’t too difficult to locate. The Heritage Gun, on the other hand, is a little bit more complicated. Getting the Heritage Gun requires Colt to complete one ofChalie Montague’s elaborate games in Karl’s Bay at night. The weapon requires some planning and familiarity with the map but is a quick grab once the player knows where they need to go.

There are two ways to obtain the Sepulchra Breteira: one has playersfollow the arsenal lead “Keep on Giving"and the other has players killing invading Julianna’s until she drops it. The most straightforward way to get the large sniper rifle is to do the arsenal lead that has Colt cautiously examine an oversized present outside his apartment in Updaam. After discovering it was a trap, he notes that he was being shot at by a powerful sounding weapon and decides to investigate.

There are a few Eternalists located in the apartment across the street from his and one is carrying the Sepulchra Breteira. Kill them and take it to obtain the weapon. It can also be dropped by players who are invading others' games as Julianna. This isn’t a consistent method at getting the sniper, however, as Julianna’s arsenal varies with each encounter and won’t consistently drop the sniper.
