10Play Around With Gliding
Since a lot of raids feature environmental puzzles and useful environmental elements, Warlocks are in the best position to play with their Glide abilities. Unlike other classes, Warlocks find themselves capable of “gliding” or moving around when airborne. As such, they’re more than capable of repositioning themselves to support their allies, spam AOEs, and even absorb a bit of aggro.
Ideally, Warlocks can use the Strafe Glide (great control, weak burst) to solvespecific environmental puzzlesand the Burst Glide (weak control, great burst) to rush towards allies and crucial battle positions. Thankfully, Dawnblades have a Balanced Glide that grants them moderate control and speed.
9Use Rifts Alone, Together
Warlocks serve as both thehealing and magic support classofDestiny 2, and their Rifts play a huge role in any game mode. Both the Healing Rift and Empowering Rift grant significant healing and buff, respectively, that Warlocks can help give teams that added boost to clear a raid. However, Guardians should strategically use these Rifts together or alone, depending on the situation.
For instance, Warlocks holding off their own position should use Empowering Rift to give them the damage boost they need while taking on aggro as the team prepares their counter-assault. Meanwhile, Warlocks should glide back to their team to heal or empower them, depending on the flow of combat.
8Control The Skies With Holy Fire
Warlocks with a flair for flight can use Solar energy to dominate the skies thanks to Attunement of Sky. Thanks to Celestial Fire, Dawnblade Warlocks can use grenades, unleash Celestial Fire, andfire weaponswithout stopping Glide. Moreover, with Icarus Dash, Dawnblades can dodge twice in mid-air, which in itself is already helpful in heated engagements. Meanwhile, Heat Rises consumes grenade energy to extend Glide and boost in-air accuracy.
In terms of offensive abilities, Celestial Fire sends out three energy blasts that explode with Solar energy, which becomes a godsend with Winged Sun. With this ability, fire weapons get infused with Celestial Fire and allow grenade-throwing while gliding.
7Cycle Buffs With Grace
Warlocks can rely on Attunement of Grace to maximize healing and buffing. Thanks to Divine Protection, grenade energy can be converted into an overshield drop and a Blessing that affects allies. Meanwhile, Guiding Flameendows melee attacksinto burn damage alongside an empowering aura that benefits the Warlock and their allies.
Well of Radiance replaces Daybreak as the Warlock’s Super ability, with a sword thrust to the ground granting both empowerment and healing to allies. Lastly, Benevolent Dawn constantly regenerates Rift, melee, and grenade energy when healing or empowering, enabling the Warlock to spam Divine Protection and Guiding Flame.
6Clash With Enemies With Flames
Warlocks who want to take on offensive support roles can trust Attunement of Flame to do the job. Thanks to Igniting Touch, enemies the Warlocks touch explode when killed. Moreover, Fated for the Flame seeks targets with Daybreak and unleash deadly flames when hit. Additionally, Everlasting Fire extends the duration of Daybreak when enemies get killed.

5Extend Supers With Attunement Of Flame
Of all the Dawnblade skill trees, perhaps Attunement of Flame works best for PVE. Thanks to its three primary perks, there’s a huge chance of the Dawnblade to keep Daybreak for much longer compared to their other Dawnblade counterparts.
As such, Dawnblades with this Attunement can very welltake on DPS roleswith a dash of buffing. Thanks to Phoenix Dive, Dawnblades can start buffing, trigger Daybreak, Glide, and wreak havoc on enemy lines if other members of the fireteam need to recharge. Moreover, Fated for the Flame unleashes projectiles from sword slashes, making it perfect to constantly damage enemies even if they’re coming from faraway.
4Daybreak From Afar
While it looks awesome to unleash Daybreak in the middle of combat, doing this poses a huge risk for enemies to eliminate the Warlock quickly. Instead of doing this strategy, Warlocks should trigger Daybreak from cover and dash out to unleash devastating AOE.

This strategy makes it possible for Warlocks to fully plan their course when using Daybreak, especially if they’re offering AOE damage to give time for allies to regroup and recover. Remember, while a Warlock looks awesome finishing off foes with Daybreak, the fireteam still needs their healing abilities.
3Daybreak From The Skies
Aside from activating Daybreak from afar,attempt to gain momentum firstbefore triggering Daybreak. A lot of Guardians tend to be guilty of starting Daybreak as soon as the opportunity arrives thanks to its various benefits. However, certain skill trees benefit from Daybreak when used in certain situations.
Ideally, Warlocks with Daybreak ready should get to mid-air and glide before using Daybreak. Doing this strategy allows them to gain a good vantage point to utilize their most common combos and unleash more powerful attacks while enemies have little time to react.
2Master The Battlefield With Glide
While Warlocks use Glide to navigate the battlefield much faster, it’s also a handy escape tool when being chased or cornered by enemies. For instance, Warlocks being chased by enemies should start heading to a corner and Gliding at the last second. Theoretically, this gives them a few seconds facing the back of the enemy before they turn. The Dawnblade can use these seconds to either retreat or unleash a counterattack.
Likewise, Dawnblades should alwaystake note of hiddendefensive positions with Glide and memorize these positions as early as possible. Ideally, Warlocks should be able to zig-zag around these areas to retreat to cover in harsh firefights.
1Take Note Of Charges
It’s easy to lose oneself in Daybreak and just spam abilities to next Tuesday. However, using Daybreak carelessly can waste precious charges that could otherwise take enemies down. Instead of spamming attacks after Daybreak, Guardians should train on recognizing which combos work best for them and when to use them alongside Daybreak.
Sometimes, players need to consider holding off on Daybreak unless especially necessary, since they also have to consider bullet economy and how their attacks synergize with one another. Use Daybreak as much as possible against multiple mobs or bosses.
