Whatever the Witness has done to the Traveler inDestiny 2remains to be seen, and any attempts to follow the Witness result in death. However,Destiny 2provides players with a break from the mysteries of Lightfall’s story and instead allows players to put aside their weaponry and arm themselves with bait and a fishing rod.

Players can go fishing inDestiny 2as of Season 21.Season of the Deep sees some great new weaponsand will allow players to go fishing on Savathun’s Throne World, Nessus, and the EDZ. Each location is brimming with fish, and there are 10 Legendary fish and 4 Exotic fish inDestiny 2.
14Kheprian Axehead
The most efficient way to get the Exotic fish inDestiny 2is to unlock Focused Fishing. With this meter full, all Guardians that are at the fishing pool will see a rise in the quality of fish they can catch, meaning although an Exotic fish is not guaranteed, it is more likely than an empty fishing pool that does not have the Focused Fishing meter fully utilized.
One of the Exotic fish inDestiny 2so far is the Kheprian Axehead, a fish that certainly looks the part for its namesake. The Kheprian Axehead is perhaps the rarest fish in the game and can be exchanged at the HELM foran Exotic reward, as well as bragging rights for catching this fish.

13Aeonian Alpha-Betta
One of the Exotic fish that players will be able to find inDestiny 2is the Aeonian Alpha-Betta. The fish has yet to make the rounds inDestiny 2, and it’s an Exotic for a reason thanks to the difficulty and rarity in obtaining it.
Visually, Aeonian Alpha-Betta is a beautiful fish, with elegant and tropical colors. The patterns on the fish are remarkable, and the fins are far larger than even the body of the fish.

12Whispering Mothcarp
Strangely, the Whispering Mothcarp looks a lot like the Dopefish as seen inDOOM Eternal. This comes from the fact that it has wide and beady orange eyes that pierce the soul, as well as vibrant green skin.
The Whispering Mothcarp is one of the larger Exotic fish in the game, and equally as rare. Players have not yet obtained a Whispering Mothcarp for their aquarium, but it will certainly be a show stealer when they do.

11Vexing Placoderm
The Vexing Placoderm has been infected by the nature of the Vex. Whether it’s because it’s been tested on, or swimming in too much Vex radiolaria, the Vexing Placoderm is distinct for its infested head.
The head of the Vexing Placoderm looks like it has been assimilated, with its face altered by Vex biology. It’s an interesting Exotic, that further shows the dangers that the Vex have over life andalterations of nature.

10Drangelfish (Baroque)
The Drangelfish (Baroque) is found exclusively in the EDZ. This fish is noted for its tropical colors of pink and yellow, and it’s a difficult fish to catch, like most Legendary fish. The fishing spot for the Drangelfish Baroque will be located in the Outskirts of the EDZ.

The Drangelfish Baroque may not be a real fish, so it adds to the mystery of how this fish came to be, especially when it shares its name with the Eliksni ‘Drang’ enemy type, so perhaps its formation is the result of spilled Ether.
9Salvager’s Salmon
In the EDZ andSavathun’s Throne World, players have the opportunity to catch Salvager’s Salmon. How a Salmon managed to make its way to the Throne World is unknown, but this tasty fish is perfect for sushi dishes, that is, if players want to risk eating anythingfrom The Witch Queen’s world.
The Salvager’s Salmon is noted for its scaley orange skin and large size. It’s a fish that closely resembles a time before the Darkness, Hive Gods, Cabal, and all the other torments that face humanity inDestiny 2.

8Gnawing Hun Gar
Exclusively on the Throne World, players will be able to fish for the Gnawing Hun Gar. This fish has a namesake about the famedDestiny 2Auto Rifle, Gnawing Hunger, an old Gambit Auto Rifle from Season of Arrivals that has yet to return to the loot pool ofDestiny 2.
Hopefully with the Gnawing Hun Gar fish, the famed Auto Rifle is due for a comeback, although it begs the question of how the Gnawing Hun Gar received its namesake, and what is it doing on the Throne World.

7No Turning Jack
The No Turning Jack fish can only be found on Nessus, so avoid Vex andenemy Cabalto enjoy this location. This legendary fish is another reference to a weapon inDestiny 2, that is one of the first and best bows in the game from the Forsaken era called No Turning Back.
Although this Combat Bow may not be the best that players have available to them, it’s nice to see the weapon referenced with the No Turning Jack fish.

6Cod Duello
Another Nessus exclusive fish is the Cod Duello, a stark green fish that somehow hasn’t been assimilated into the Vex, despite swimming within the electrified vex milk pools that surround Nessus. Despite the confusion around its origin, the Cod Duello’s name is what sells it the most.

This legendaryfish inDestiny 2has the name Code Duello, a legendary Rocket Launcher introduced in Season 13’s Season of the Chosen. This Rocket Launcher held its own as one of the best Rocket Launchers inDestiny 2, and now its legacy is as a Nessus fish.
5Temptation’s Haddock
The Temptation’s Haddock legendary fish receives its most fitting tribute, as this fish is about Temptation’s Hook, a Season of Arrivals sword that once saw the mighty Power Weapon at the height of the meta in PvE content. Those days have long passed, and now, Temptation’s Haddock is all that remains.
This legendary fish is located only on Nessus, and players have the chance to catch it to obtain further Triumphs and loot, as long as the player has the patience to be a fisher-Guardian.
