Season of the Deep brings more loot toDestiny 2, and players might be wondering if the Reckoning weapons are worth grinding for. Players can obtain Reckoning weapons through many activities, including theSeason of the Deep-specificmissions like Deep Dives, Salvage activities, and the newest passive activity toDestiny 2, whichincludes fishing, which may net players some keenDestiny 2rewards.

Reckoning Weapons can range from Hand Cannons to Swords, and consideringDestiny 2features a plethora of great and powerful weaponry to loot and shoot, players might wonder if the best Reckoning weapons inDestiny 2hold up with some of the high-standard gear in PvP and PvE.
6Just In Case
“Even contingencies need contingencies.”
If swords are to be viable in the currentDestiny 2meta, then Bungie has their work cut out for them. Just in Case is a Solar Sword that lacks viable use in both PvE and PvP. Considering the fact that players are more likely to have Heavy Ammo in PvE content, Just in Case would be a far lesser replacement to superior DPS options or ad-clearing loadouts.

The saving grace ofDestiny 2swords in the meta is Eager Edge, a weapon perk that allows players to gain great speed. Yet, Just in Case cannot have such a perk with its rolls, meaning that the sword beheld by them harbors no use other than a slick visual appearance.
5Sole Survivor
“Names mean nothing to the dead.”
Sniper Rifles have always been a reliable weapon to use in PvP content like Trials of Osiris. The same cannot be said for PvE, as many activities like Raids and Dungeons require quick thinking and shield-breaking weaponry, something that Sniper Rifles are rarely able to pull off, especially with the use of Special Ammo.

Even as an Arc Sniper Rifle, Sole Survivor struggles to be viable in PvP content due to the possible rolls curated to this weapon. If players do want to try for a decent Sole Survivor to use in PvP, then Snapshot Sights and Voltshot is a competent roll to aim for. it’s a Sniper thatHawthorne would be proudof.
4Last Man Standing
“Call me Ozymandias.”
With an Aggressive Frame, this Solar Shotgun may be one of the most underperforming Shotguns inDestiny 2. There’s already a great set of best Shotguns inDestiny 2, and Last Man Standing does not make the cut due to its low base stats provided by its Aggressive Frame, an Intrinsic Trait that has been done better in other Shotguns.

However, Last Man Standing makes up for its base stats with its Weapon Perk rolls, and players certainly have a varied option that will benefit them in PvE and PvP. Opening Shot and Rampage will be the most viable combination for PvP, whereas Threat Detector and One-Two Punch will assist greatly in PvE.

3Spare Rations
“Whether times are lean or fat.”
Hand Cannons could benefit from more work to bring them back to thepeak ofDestiny 2’s meta, but that doesn’t stop Spare Rations from making strong impressions as one of the best Hand Cannons inDestiny 2. This Kinetic Hand Cannon benefits in Season 21 thanks to the fact that it can stun Unstoppable Champions, and it holds great perks and effectiveness in PvE and PvP.

Spare Rations has a decent set of Perk options, as well as a great Impact, Range, and Handling. Hand Cannons always suffer from their Rounds Per Minute, especially in PvE activities, which will be notably slower than other Primary Weapons. With the right Barrel Perk and Basic Traits like Subsistence and Rampage, players can greatly benefit from kill streaks in the Crucible, but they may suffer somewhat in PvE activities, even if said suffering isn’t as grand as other Hand Cannons.
2Bug-Out-Bag
“Grab and go.”
SMGs were the undisputed king of the PvP meta for a while thanks to Strand weapons like the Immortal. However, with recent changes, SMGs, although still viable, have taken a backseat in the current meta. Bug-Out-Bag is a Solar SMG that benefits more for PvE than PvP.

The performance of this Solar SMG in PvP suffers from its frame and its Zoom effectiveness, but in PvE, it’s a weapon that closely resembles the beloved CALUS Mini-Tool, and with Subsistence and Incandescent, players can expect a monstrous SMG for PvE activities againstenemy forces like the Cabal.
1Outlast
“No such word as extinction.”
The recent buff to Pulse Rifles has seen a resurgence of the weapon type in PvP. This Solar Pulse Rifle is one to aim for, as its Rapid-Fire Frame allows for deeper ammo reserves and faster reloading, meaning that players will be an intimidating machine of gunfire in PvP content. It even holds its own in PvE activities.
With Outlast boasting one of the best Reckoning weapons inDestiny 2, players will need some great rolls to truly maximize the potential. For PvP, Feeding Frenzy, and Kill Clip will reward players with a fury of kills based on their effectiveness. Outlast can certainly give some of the best Pulse Rifles inDestiny 2a run for their money.
