Iron Banner returns toDestiny 2for its first event in the new Season of the Splicer. Lord Saladin brings two completely new weapons, two reissued weapons, and his usual selection of pinnacle gear bounties and armor forDestiny 2players to chase down.
This Iron Banner event will run from May 18 to 25, but Bungie’s Season of Splicer roadmap says that more Iron Banner events will occur again and start on June 8 and 29. Two brand new weapons will be making their first appearances in Season of the Splicer’s Iron Banner events. The Riiswalker Shotgun and Archon’s Thunder Machine Gun can both roll with some of the exclusive Iron Banner perks. Both weapons also sport a uniquely Fallen aesthetic to match the new alliance betweenEliksni and Guardians in Season of the Splicer.

Two older Iron Banner weapons, Finite Impactor and Occluded Finality, have also been reissued for this season with new perk rolls including those Iron Banner perks too. The Hand Cannon and Sniper Rifles can both roll with Iron Reach which massively increases range at the cost of an even larger penalty to stability. All the Iron Banner perks were slightly improved this season but plenty ofother weapon perks were nerfed and adjusted.
There will also be a new seasonal quest which will reward players with the four Season of the Splicer weapons, as well as reissued Iron Truage armor for each step they complete. Progress for this quest lasts for the entire season, soDestiny 2players can complete it across several Iron Banner events during Season of the Splicer.

SomeSplicer Seasonal Challengesmay require players to complete certain objectives within Iron Banner. Players should ensure they play whenever the event is live and complete any challenges as soon as possible to avoid missing out on completing the challenges.
Lord Saladin will be back in his usual spot in the Tower above Banshee-44’s gunsmith workshop.Destiny 2players will be able to buy four bounties, each awarding pinnacle gear upon completion, Players can also exchange 20 Iron Banner Tokens for a piece of Iron Banner gear. Each bounty also awards 50 tokens, and more tokens are awarded to players at the end of Iron Banner matches, with wins awarding more tokens.
For any newDestiny 2players, Iron Banner is a week-long Crucible event that has its own unique gear and brings in Iron Banner Control. This game mode has a few extra rules in place including Guardian power level advantages which means a player’s overall power level has a direct impact on how much damage they deal and receive to other players. However, Iron Banner Power Levels only count gear and do not include any additional power gained from the seasonal artifact which isthe Paradrome Cube for this season.
Destiny 2players can party up and work together to try and dominate, while solo players can queue into the Freelance Iron Banner playlist which matches only solo players together. Something for newcomers to note, though, is that, since theBeyond Lightexpansion, Stasis subclasses have been putting a huge dampener on theDestiny 2Crucible experience, even after the latest round ofPvP-focused Stasis adjustments.
