Now that it’s 2022, players can expect to see new content on the horizon forDestiny 2. There’s the anticipated release of theDestiny 2: The Witch Queenexpansion, which is one month away from launch. It will continue the game’s story from previous seasons with the Hive goddess Savathûn as the central villain.
Recently, Bungie released a new weekly announcement forDestiny 2that provided some details on the upcoming game content. The post builds up theWitch Queenexpansion, bringing up its recent new trailer for readers to watch. It also delves into other subjects, like some of the changes for the Artifacts mods in the game.

The post also addresses the fate ofDestiny 2’s 30th Anniversarycontent, where it explains that the content will all remain in the game for 2022. According to the post, since so many players enjoyed the30th Anniversarycontent, it will stay in the game whenThe Witch Queenlaunches. That includes the Star Horse, Dares of Eternity, and the rest of the anniversary content.
The post said that both free and paid content inDestiny 2’s 30th Anniversarywill still be available in the game and will not be placed intheDestinyContent Vault. Players can expect a new update about the30th Anniversarycontent later this year. In the meantime, players can continue to enjoy their adventures with Xur throughout 2022.
The post also digs into other topics forDestiny 2, such as the new rewards that will be available to players with Amazon Prime Gaming. The rewards include an Exotic Emote called Pyrrhic Victory, the Exotic Ghost Shell called Hissing Silence, the Exotic Sparrow called Another Inspired Idea, and the Legendary Ship called Astera Blade. Players who have an active Amazon Prime subscription will receive the new rewards after they link their Bungie.net accounts.
To do that, players will need to follow a series of steps. First, players will need to go to Bungie.net for “Accounts & Linking” settings to connect theirDestiny 2account, then go to the Prime Gaming website to sign in to their Amazon Prime account. After that, they need to go to theDestiny 2Prime Gaming website to connect their Bungie.net account.
Once players have connected their accounts, they can claim theDestiny 2Exotic Geardrops every month on theDestiny 2Prime Gaming website. After they claim their drop, players can log in toDestiny 2and visit Amanda Holliday in the Tower’s Hangar to receive their new rewards from her inventory screen. However, players have until 10 AM Pacific on the last day of the drop to claim their rewards on theDestiny 2Prime Gaming website.
