This much means the game is going to need some downtime before players can log back in, and Bungie has let players know how long this downtime will be.
The Witch Queenis the fourth major expansion forDestiny 2and will pit guardians against the titular Hive god of deception and her Light-imbued Hive guardians of the Lucent Brood. Players will need to investigate Savathun’s Throne World to learn how she gained the Light for herself, separate fact from fiction when it comes to her history, and ultimately take back the Light. Players will go into battle with a suite of refreshed abilities and new weapons, some which can be crafted, to thin the ranks of the Lucent Brood and reach Savathun.
