Following last week’s surprising announcement delayingDestiny 2: Beyond Lightinto November, it’s likely that most players probably didn’t expect any additional announcements from Bungie so soon. However, Bungie dropped anew trailer showcasing the upcoming Stasis abilitiesduring the Xbox Games Showcase. Players got to see all sorts of interesting ice-type powers including ice grenades, ice daggers, and some really unique looking super abilities.

After a poor showing last week, can the exotic merchant Xur redeem himself in the eyes ofDestiny 2players? Follow this guide for his location as well as a review of what he’s currently selling for the weekend of Jun 20, 2025.
Where is Xur?
This weekend, players should head to Titan where Xur hanging out in his little house near the entrance to the Solarium zone.
Once loaded into The Rig, start heading to the other side of the zone towards the ramp that leads to the Solarium. Before reaching that ramp, Xur can be found inside one of the nearby houses, typically on the left side if the player is facing the Solarium ramp.
Class Armor
As he’s been doing for the past few weeks, Xur isno longer selling collection rolled gear. The armor he now has features randomized stats and perks, which should revitalize player interest in what the merchant has each week. In addition, players can use an Exotic Cypher to purchase a second fated engram from the merchant.
Here are Xur’s three gear pieces this weekend:
Skull of Dire Ahamkara - Warlock helm
While nowhere near as potent as it used to bedue to a number of nerfs, its still a viable option for Voidwalker Warlocks. It’s armor perk is Actual Grandeur which not only provides additional damage resistance when casting Nova Bomb, but kills grant super energy.
Naturally, this is a Voidwalker specific armor piece, but due to recent nerfs its hard to recommend over some other choices that Warlocks have access to like Nezarec’s Sin or Contraverse Hold.
Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:
Liar’s Handshake - Hunter gauntlets
At one time, this armor was the source of a major damage bug, giving Hunters the ability toyeet enemies as well as obliterate bosses. While those issues have since been patched, this armor can still be fairly strong in the right hands. Cross Counter gives players the chance to follow up with an extremely powerful counterpunch that also heals after using an arc melee ability or being hit by a melee strike.
They’re no longer top tier, but this is still an extremely fun exotic to use. That’s why, it’s definitely worth owning.
Eternal Warrior - Titan helm
For those looking to cosplay a classical warrior then the Eternal Warrior helm is a must have. From a gameplay perspective, it’s specifically aimed at Striker Titans as its intrinsic perk Resolute gives the player an overshield after Fists of Havoc is activated.
While a cool looking exotic item, it’s ability just really isn’t as impactful as others available to Titans. An overshield is always helpful but it’s not likely going to turn the tide in any significant way. Definitely not a top tier item, but not a terrible one to have either.
Exotic Weapon
The underrated hand cannon, Sunshot, is back on sale this weekend with Xur. Sunburn, the intrinsic perk, causes the weapon to fire explosive rounds and causes enemies to become highlighted after taking damage. Its other unique perk, known as Sun Blast, causes targets to explode after being killed, not requiring a headshot like the similar perk, Dragonfly.
Once viewed as a mediocre exotic weapon choice, the hand cannon has since become a strong option in either PvE or PvP content, even rivalingthe popular Spare Rations. It’s a 150RPM hand cannon with explosive rounds, capable of chaining damage to multiple enemies that are too close together. It’s also advisable to grab the catalyst for it as it increases the weapon’s range and stability even further.
