Nintendo Switch players can ask for a refund of theirDisney Dreamlight Valleycopies, but there’s a detail that might be frustrating for some gamers.Disney Dreamlight Valleyis eventually going to be free-to-play, but at the moment, it’s still in early access. So, even though it’s available for anyone that would like to obtain it right away, only gamers that have purchased theDisney Dreamlight ValleyFounder’s Pack or own Xbox Game Pass can play it before its full release.

Games in paid early access are usually a gamble because it’s impossible for players to guess what they’re in for. Players are paying so they can get access to day-one cosmetic items that won’t be available again in the future, such asStar Path rewards. So, on the one hand, they can keep exclusive items and rewards, but on the other hand, they might have to deal with irritating glitches and crashes since they’re dealing with an unfinished product.

Since the game became available back in September, players have encountered a handful ofridiculous bugs inDisney Dreamlight Valley, some of which made them laugh while others made them incredibly frustrated with the game. While some fans didn’t have to deal with that many issues, others weren’t so lucky and didn’t get to have a pleasant experience with the game. Recently, a few members of theDisney Dreamlight Valleysubreddit shared that they were able to get a full refund for their copy of the game on the Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, these players weren’t able to get their money back to their bank accounts, as it was given to them as eShop credit.

Nintendo can be difficult to deal with when it comes to refunds, but lately it has been more flexible. In November, quite a few fans were dissatisfied with the state of the latestPokemongame and asked for afull refund ofPokemon Scarlet and Violet, and many of them actually got it.

Regardless of only receiving digital store credit, as news spreads about these refunds, moreplayers who aren’t happy withDisney Dreamlight Valleywill surely come forward and attempt to return it as well. It’s undeniably better to get some of their money back and use it on other digital games instead of keeping a game that they can’t enjoy due to constant crashes and other frustrating errors. Hopefully, this will make the developers realize that they should focus on fixing the game’s problems instead of trying to make as much profit as possible by pumping out more content.

Disney Dreamlight Valleyis currently available in Early Access for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
