Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 4has just been announcedand fans of the anime and the game franchise alike are eager to see what’s next.Budokai Tenkaichi 3is still considered one of the bestDragon Ballgames out there, featuring a massive roster of nearly every character inDBZandGT. Most of these characters have multiple transformations, versions, and forms. There are 6 different Gokus out there.

Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 4will obviously feature all the new transformations Goku and Vegeta got, but here are some characters beyond those two that absolutely need to be added; most of these characters are from the new animeDragon Ball Super,but some are from other games likeFighterZandXenoverseas well. There isso muchDragon Ballcontentout there that it’s going to be a difficult ordeal to choose a roster for sure.
8Android 21
Android 21 was aninclusion inDragon Ball FighterZ; at first, she seems like an innocent doctor but then transforms into a Buu-like fighter who was one of the most positively received original characters in the entire franchise. Android 21 has unique and striking visuals and a completely different moveset, it would be a shame if she doesn’t feature in newer games.
She’s also one of the characters that can be easily fleshed out in a What-If mode, and a lot more can be done with her unique combat style.
7Towa and Mira
Towa and Mira were bothmajor antagonists in theDragon Ball Xenoverseseries, and both are fairly popular due to their unique designs, moves, and their overall nefarious actions. Towa, similar to Android 21, is a cunning scientist trying to manipulate time and space; she creates the android Mira to help her on this quest. Both characters are depicted as powerful, with unique abilities and fighting styles.

Both Towa and Mira, design-wise, are different compared to mostDragon Ballvillains. Them not being a part of the anime means they’ll be relatively new explorations for most fans of the series. They’d definitely be welcome additions toBudokai Tenkaichi 4.
6Hit
Hit has been one of the best characters introduced inSuper. While he’s not as powerful as Jiren, he’s not as one-note either. This universe-wide hitman/assassin is one of the more somber and cool characters inSuper.He also has a completely different rivalry with Goku, which is always fun to see.
Hit was a part ofDragon Ball FighterZ, and it showed how much could be done with the character. His time-controlling powers and slow, methodical approach stand out in the series, and he would easily be one of the most popular characters in any new game.
5Super Saiyan Rage Trunks
TheDragon Ball SuperGoku Black arc was one of the best in the series, particularly its focus on further developing Future Trunks, who’s already seen as one of the fan favorites of the entire franchise. The Super Saiyan Rage form was Trunks channeling all his past experiences and traumainto impressive strength, which shocked friends and foes alike.
This form was a visual delight, and his mastery of the Z sword and its ‘spirit’ power-up has to be inBudokai Tenkaichi. Future Trunks will obviously be in any new game, but not taking advantage of this new form of his would be a shame for sure.
4Kale and Caulifla
Kale and Caulifla were both prominent and welcome additions to the franchise as the only standout female saiyans in the series. Caulifla, with her explosive personality and cocky attitude, has been a favorite, and the quiet Kale, somewhat taking up after Broly, has been popular too. Both these characters have their own unique abilities and strengths, which would translate really well into a game likeBudokai Tenkaichi 4.

These two saiyans have a fusion, too; Kefla is one of the most powerful and fun characters introduced since Gotenks. Kefla’s strengths were on display inthe tournament of power, and she was a welcome addition toFighterZ.All three of these characters are a must-include inBudokai Tenkaichi 4, and any sort of gameplay buffs building up on their in-story synergy would be awesome too.
3Goku Black
Any character with the name Goku is undoubtedly going to be in aDragon Ballgame. Goku Black was a ruthless and vile villain, and despite his similar appearance, he was developed in a way to be distinctly different from Goku; hisspecial movesall have their own unique visual cues, and of course, Super Saiyan Rose is one of the most aesthetic transformations in the series.
Black has tons of unique weapons, his own transformation, and a fusion with Zamasu, he’s one of the easiest characters to include in the game, and he’ll definitely be top-tier.
2Frost
Frost as a character stands out, as a member of Frieza and Cooler’s race has access to their rare abilities, but what makes him special is his duplicitous nature; you never know what side Frost is on, what his intentions are, and why he acts so cold – no pun intended. Frost’s past could be explored in the story mode, and more importantly, he could be one of the most unique characters in the game.
Poison attacks and freeze rays could make him a unique crowd-control heavy fighter, annoying the opponent and leading to potential set-ups, these sorts of characters are always rare but also always some of the most rewarding to play.
1Gohan Beast
Gohan has deserved his time in the sun for ages. Most fans have been disappointed with howhe’s reverted to a background rolefor years now. The latestDragon Ballmovie remedies this and even gives him a power-up and a new exclusive transformation. This would be an opportunity for game developers to flex their creative skills and go crazy with Gohan.
Gohan’s always been powerful, but this new form could be a transformation for his unlocked potential mode or a new character of its own going toe to toe with the newest characters in the franchise; it would definitely be a worthy addition.
