That’s it for the larger games confirmed right now, but more are coming out all the time. Some miscellaneous titles have also confirmed their intent to appear at Summer Game Fest, such as thebizarre semi-satirical open-worldPokemon-likePalworld.Lies of P, aPinocchio-inspired Soulslike, has also alluded to appearing at the showcase. Games Rumored To Appear At Summer Game Fest
Of course, there’s going to be more at the two hour-long Summer Game Fest Showcase than what’s been revealed. With over forty partners involved, there’s no telling what exactly to expect, but attentive fans have some ideas. One easy guess is thatKojima Productions will feature in some way. Hideo Kojima has a history of appearing at Geoff Keighley’s events, even if his recent projects are largely associated with PlayStation or Xbox. Whether fans will seeDeath Stranding 2, the Xbox project tentatively titledOverdose, something new, or nothing at all will be revealed soon.
Another common presence at Geoff Keighley’s shows is titles from the duo of FromSoftware and Bandai Namco. This year, FromSoftware has its newest titleArmored Core 6: Fires of Rubiconset to release in August, so fans strongly suspect it will appear at the show. Attendees of the live Summer Game Fest event may even get a chance to try it for themselves if that’s the case. Some are alsocurious as to the chancesElden Ring’s DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, has of appearing at Summer Game Fest. While it does not have a release date yet and is rumored to come out in 2024, its development could have progressed enough for some preliminary details to be outlined.
Call of Dutyfans are also waiting for the announcement of their next game, rumored to be titledModern Warfare 3. It missed its traditional May reveal time slot, so it could appear at Summer Game Fest. That said, Xbox and Activision may have made prior plans to hold the game back until the Xbox Games Showcase a few days later. Sifting through rumors regarding Summer Game Fest itself is difficult with the Xbox Games Showcase nearby, which may end up being whererumored projects like aPersona 3remakecould be revealed. Despite that, it sounds like both conferences should have more than enough games to justify themselves.
With the announcement ofMetal Gear Solid Deltaand a new HD collection, Konami could appear at Summer Game Fest with news on itsMetal Geargames,Silent Hillprojects, or even a rumoredCastlevaniatitle. FurtherMetal Gearnews isn’t likely given that the PlayStation Showcase just happened, but it would be nice to finallycomplete the revival trifecta withCastlevania. A couple more probable appearances include the reveal ofFinal Fantasy 16’s leaked demo and one of Digital Extremes' projects. Linked Twitch accounts can receive a free Styanax Warframe Drop, so eitherWarframeitself or another DE title likeSoulframecould show up. With all of this potential for the Summer Game Fest and its associated events, it’s a good thing that fans don’t have long to wait for the festivities to begin.
