Daniel Radcliffe is often known for portraying heroic roles like Harry Potter in the wizard franchise, or his other roles on television, film, and the theatrical stage. One Marvel fan has decided that despite his heroic resume, Radcliffe could successfully portray aSpider-Manvillain in the MCU.
Radcliffe has had an illustrious career since rising to fame following his performances throughout theHarry Potterfranchise. With one fan’s casting, it may be time for Radcliffe to join Marvel’s expanding universe in theSpider-Manfilms.

The art created by onem.design34puts Radcliffe in the role of Spot, who possesses powers thatnone of the live-action Spider-Manversions have ever had to go against. Within the created image, some of Spot’s impressive powers can be seen, including the use of his space warps. These warps allow Spot to move parts of his body or himself entirely through space, surprising his opponents with attacks they can never see coming. In the upper left corner, Radcliffe’s fist can be seen appearing through one of these warps.
In the photo, Radcliffe wears a suit that differs from the comic book and animation versions of the villain. The typical black and white Dalmation-like suit has been replaced with a black and gray suit of armor. To help bring this comic villain to life, the artist has drawn on some of the pre-existing characters the MCU, includingDoctor Strange and Electro. Across Radcliffe’s chest is what appears to be a power source that Radcliffe’s version of Spot draws from in order to use his powers in the most lethal way possible. The energy source and the vest it is strapped to are constructed much like the new Electro suit sported by Jamie Foxx inSpider-Man: No Way Home. The space warps that appear around Radcliffe’s Spot share a similar appearance with the portals Doctor Strange often opens during battle.
Spot is one of the comic book villains that has not received any form of a live adaptation. Aside fromhis appearances in Marvel Comics, Spot has only appeared on television twice. In the ’90s, Spot appeared in the animated seriesSpider-Man, where he was voiced by Oliver Muirhead. His second appearance is in another animated form, this time in the 2017Spider-Manseries where he was voiced by Crispin Freeman.
Now that the MCU is beginning to move away from the heroes and villains that have played a fundamental role in the development of the current Marvel landscape, there is room for Spot to appear in the MCU. Spot’scomic book ties with Kingpin, Spider-Man villains like Doc Ock, and other members of the Sinister Six suggest that Spot could become a lethal member of the MCU. The rising issues brought upon by the Multiverse could warrant his appearance at some point, though it likely won’t be to assist Spider-Man, Daredevil, or any of the other Marvel heroes.
