It’s been a while sinceFate/Grand Orderplayers had a limited-time event to participate in. Following the end of the Garden of Sinners rerun on March 1st, masters and their servants have been enjoying a well deserved break from the never-ending content since 2020 began. But the time for relaxation is over because another event is about to be rerun starting tomorrow: Saber Wars.
Saber Wars is an event parodying the popularStar Warsfilms asgames likeFortnitehave also done. Featuring an original story written by Kinoko Nasu, masters must help Altria Pendragon (Lily) complete her training following the appearance of a mysterious servant. As a rerun of the original event from March 13th to March 26th, it features elements that every player should be familiar with including a point system, an event shop, and another free welfare servant.

Altrium Ladder
Muchlike the previous Valentine’s event, the biggest source of rewards from Saber Wars comes from a point ladder which caps out this time at 2 million. Various prizes from the ladder include ascension materials, EXP cards, Saint Quartz, and a Crystallized Lore as a grand prize. The ladder is measured in Altrium, a currency that drops from any quest completed during the event. Normally Altrium drops in hundreds or thousands depending on the quest difficulty so it would be a daunting task grinding 2 million to climb up the ladder. Thankfully, various servants will boost Altrium drops by a percentage depending on who they are.
Bonus Servants
Saber-class servants will boost Altrium drops and have their damage increased depending on rarity and their role in the story. Note that the boost is additive meaning that Altrium can be increased several hundred times the base amount. Because of this, masters will want to stack their teams full of Sabers when farming the event.
Clearing The Shop
As with previous events, the shop holds various items, including ones thatstrengthen servants, which can be bought for currency: Vacuum Tubes, All-Purpose Lenses, and Transistors. Cleaning out the Saber Wars shop requires 3200 Vacuum Tubes, 3100 All-Purpose Lenses, and 2100 Transistors.
Event Craft Essences
During the event, there are several different craft essences (CE) which can be summoned from the gacha, part of the reason whyFGOis worth over $4 billion dollars. Some CEs can also bought from the shop, obtained from the Altrium ladder, or as a rare drop from Free Quests. When equipped, the gacha CEs increase currency drops while the other CEs boost damage of a specific servant or the whole team and their effects are enhanced when maxed out.
Best Quests to Farm
This time around, most of thebest free quests to farm event currencywill be immediately available after a certain main story quest. Note that the best free quest to farm Altrium, Super Dimension, won’t unlock until the last main story quest appears six days after the event begins. However, there are one-time daily Alien Invasion quests which also drop massive amounts of Altrium.
Altria Pendragon (Lily)
The welfare servant for Saber Wars is a younger version of the King of Knights, Altria Pendragon (Lily). Altria is a 4-star Saber servant who was initially given as a launch gift forFate/Grand Order. Clearing the half of the Altrium ladder will award masters with 4 more copies of Altria to max out her Noble Phantasm, Caliburn, which deals damage to all enemies before healing herself. Although Altria isn’t normally the strongest welfare, her Altrium and damage bonus during Saber Wars will greatly benefit all players.
