Nintendo has just announced thatCollection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legendwill be coming to the Nintendo Switch later this holiday season.

The title is a collection of all of theFinal Fantasy Legendtitles that released back on theNintendo Game Boy handheld system, includingFinal Fantasy Legend, Final Fantasy Legend 2, andFinal Fantasy Legend 3which each originally released in 1989, 1990, and 1991 respectively.

Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legendcomes with several new features, such as a high speed mode that allows for players to play the titles at faster speeds, multiple screen viewing options, customizable backgrounds, and more. The collection also includes a brand new anniversary song to celebrate the series' 30th anniversary since its original release. The collection is available for pre-purchase starting today, and officially launches for the hybrid console in December.

The spin-off series received generally favorable reviews upon its release, though not quite as loved by fans and critics as the originalFinal Fantasyfranchise at the time. TheFinal Fantasy Legendseries was known as theSaGaseries outside of the United States, and later received sequels and spin-offs of its own with theSaGa Frontiergames on the original PlayStation.

This wasn’t the only title announced during today’s Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase, which many other games getting reveal trailers alongside it. Some other notable games that received trailers werePuyo Puyo Tetris 2, the sequel to 2017’s puzzle cross-over game,Kingdom Hearts: Melody ofMemory, a rhythm spin-off of the long-runningKingdom Heartsfranchise,Taiko no Tatsujin Rhythem Adventure Pack,Just Dance 2021,and much more.

This Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase was the second of its kind, with Nintendo has releasing its first partner showcase back in July. During the July Partner Showcase, the company revealed some noteworthy titles includingShin Megami Tensai 3: Nocturn HD.This was only the second Partner Showcase, with possibly several more still to come. The Japanese game company recently stated that there will be more Direct Mini Partner Showcases to be coming throughout this year. Nintendo also previously commented on its approach to Nintendo Directs moving forward, stating that they may change as the company has been looking into different means for announcing its titles. Fans have already started to see this changed approach with this year’s reveals of the first party titlesPaper Mario: The Origami KingandPikmin 3 Deluxethrough Twitter instead of traditional Nintendo Directs.
