Fire Emblem Heroesplayers who plan on buyingFire Emblem Engagewill soon be able to obtain a code for a special in-game item set redeemable in the upcoming strategy RPG for the Switch. The incoming promotion was announced just as Nintendo is gearing up to release the nextFire Emblemgame, which is alsothe first big Switch exclusive of 2023.

The previous mainline entry in the long-running series—Fire Emblem: Three Houses—inspired a plethora ofFire Emblem Heroescontent within its first year of release. Among other things,the mobile game received numerousThree Housescharacters, many of which were previously voted on by the community.

Starting Thursday, January 19,Fire Emblem Heroesplayers can claim the Order of Heroes item set forFire Emblem Engage. Doing so will also provide fans with five Orbs that they can put toward castle upgrades or new character rolls in the popular mobile game. Redeeming the offer requires linking one’s Nintendo Account toFire Emblem Heroesfrom the in-game settings, then opening the Quests & Missions tab and tapping the coin icon in the upper-right corner. This is where players will be able to grab the Order of Heroes item set code that can be redeemed viathe Nintendo Switch eShop. Note that the said code will only be valid for 150 days from the moment it’s received.

NewFire Emblem Heroesplayers will first have to complete a short in-game tutorial before being able to access the Quests & Missions menu and take advantage of this promotion. Redeeming the Order of Heroes item set code on the eShop will work like adding a free DLC to one’s account. The items themselves will be obtainable inFire Emblem Engageonce players reach Somniel—their base of operations—in the early hours of the upcoming strategy RPG.

The Order of Heroes item set contains three S-rank Bond Rings which will allow players to summon Alfonse, Sharena, and Anna, among other benefits. A trio of legendary weapons in the form of Folkvangr, Fensalir, and Noatun are also part of this mini DLC package.

Based on the previousFire Emblemgames and promotional screenshots provided by Nintendo, Noatun is an S-tier axe, while Folkvangr and Fensalir are swords. Seeing howFire Emblem Engageis removing durabilityconsiderations from the series' staple gameplay loop, having access to high-powered weapons from the early stages of its campaign is likely to be a game changer, especially on higher difficulty levels.
