Over the past year,Fortnitehas managed to include nearly every major hero from the Marvel universe in its item shop. One of the few characters missing was Scarlet Witch, but thankfully, she has finally come toFortniteand can be purchased right now.
Scarlet Witch was first rumored forFortnitewhenWandaVisionwas airing. Given the popularity of the show and the love that her character received following its release, it would have made sense to see her in theFortniteitem shop. However, she never came as a tie-in for that show, with Wanda fans left wondering if she would ever actually be added. Fortunately, she has now made her way to the game, with Epic Games announcing her via a Tweet on the officialFortniteaccount.

Scarlet Witch’s release comes as an official tie-in withDoctor Strange: In The Multiverse of Madness, as the film’s logo is present in the promo image. Doctor Strange can also be seen in the background of this art, further highlighting a connection to the film.Wanda’s outfitis a perfect match to the one seen in the newly released movie, with her iconic crown present alongside a suit with long sleeves. Her cloak also serves as some back bling that will light up with Chaos magic when damage is dealt. For those that want the skin, heading into the item shop will be a must.
Gamers that are only interested in the Scarlet Witch skin will need to spend 1500V-Bucksto acquire it. However, those that are willing to spend a bit more can get the Scarlet Witch bundle, which adds three more items and costs 1800 V-Bucks. The items in question are a loading screen named “Through The Mirror Dimension,” a “Psychic Energy Manipulation” emote, and a special harvesting tool called the “Chaos Hand Axe.”
The skin should pair nicely withFortnite’s Doctor Strange outfit, which can be acquired through battle pass progression. While gamers will need to complete many challenges to reach his page, as he is the final unlock of the Battle Pass, pairing him up with Scarlet Witch seems too good to pass up on. WithDoctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madnessofficially releasing today, fans can go straight to Fortnite to see more of Scarlet Witch after watching her on the big screen. This truly is a perfect time to release the character, as Epic Games can capitalize on the excitement of MCU fans.
While it is great to see Scarlet Witch, it will be interesting to see what other Marvel heroes come toFortnite. Moon Knight was added very recently, and withMiles Morales rumoredto come in the future, Marvel fans could be in for another batch of exciting cosmetics.
