Fortnitetook over online gaming when it was released and its hold on the industry hasn’t really stopped since. In fact,Fortnite’s popularity has only grown throughout the years with a bigger player base and finding merchandise in a variety of stores. The current season ofFortnite, “Invasion,” has introduced players to new skins and an intriguing new plotline for the island. Fortnite and The Outer Worlds Share a Voice Actress

Fortniteis unlike other video gamesfor a few reasons, but its characters aren’t particularly known for their voices. However, different trailers occur before and during the premiere of the season that has players see their favorite characters speak to each other and possibly face a precarious situation. This season, players are introduced to a character and unlockable skin named Dr. Slone.

Dr. Slone is voiced by Mara Junot, an immensely popular but not always recognizable voice actress. Junot has lots of credits in the video game world with a unique overlap betweenFortniteandThe Outer Worlds, asJunot voices crewmate Nyoka Ramnarim-Wentworthin the latter game. While Dr. Slone and Nyoka don’t sound identical, there are enough vocal clues that players of both games can detect that Junot lends her voice to both characters.

Who is Fortnite’s Dr. Slone?

Dr. Slone was originally teased inFortnite’s Chapter Two, Season Five as “Jonesy’s Boss” where players heard her warn the agent not to let anyone escape The Loop and not attract The Seven’s attention. Jonesy runs off before she can finish speaking, but players still knew her warning was dire. Now Dr. Slone isappearing as an unlockable skinfor the battle royale game, but players will have to reach page eight of the rewards before being able to attain her.

She’s not just an unlockable skin, though, as players can also find and take her down during the game.Fortniteplayers know that taking down NPCs can result in lots of weapon goodies, and it’s no different in Dr. Slone’s case with her Mythic Rifle. Players will have to be careful when taking her on because NPC AIs have large health pools, but the risk is worth the reward with the Mythic Rifle.

Who is The Outer Worlds’ Nyoka?

Nyoka is a potential crewmateaboard the Unreliable inThe Outer Worlds. Players will need to take Nyoka aboard the ship to continue the game, as she acts as their guide through the Monarch wilderness. Nyoka is a hunter with a drinking problem, but players can get to know her a bit better by completing her personal quest. It’s not required to completeThe Outer Worlds, but it helps with world immersion and getting to know the crew a bit better.

Mara Junot brings something interesting to both Dr. Slone and Nyoka, though the world each character lives in is pretty different from the other. Players who want to experience Junot ineither role can downloadFortniteor getThe Outer Worldsfor their platform of choice.
