One of the newest additions toFortniteand its ever-growing evolution is that of Augments. The perk system was implemented intoFortnitefairly recently, and it is bound to change as the Seasons progress inFortniteand its newest Chapter. EachFortniteSeason features a wide range of Augments, but only some can be described as the best.
Thebest Augments inFortnitecan give players manydifferent advantagesthroughout the Battle Royale game ensuring that a Victory will be theirs. Augments are random throughout each game, unique to different players, but each features a great advantage that the player should utilize.

8Munitions Slide
Out of all the newest Augments inFortniteChapter 4 Season 2, this is one of the most unique and fun options. The Munitions Slide Augment allows players to gain medium ammo while sliding. This works by giving the player a couple of medium bullets every second while the player is sliding.

Medium bullets can become tedious to come by, especially in the early stages of a match or when player eliminations aren’t frequent. Therefore, this Augment can help out players by simply giving them ammo by sliding.
7Shotgun Recycle
Shotgun Recycle is another one of the new Augments that players will be able to obtain in Chapter 4 Season 2 ofFortnite. The Shotgun Recycle Augment simply allows players to, by chance, conserve ammo in a shotgun.
This means that every time the player shoots a shotgun, there’s a chance that the bullet won’t be actually used, giving the player more shots and saving them ammunition. For the new Havoc Shotgun, the two are beautifully paired as the Havoc takes a while to reload.
6Sniper Surplus
There are several new Augments inFortnite,but none of them allow fans of the sniper rifle to show out as much as Sniper Surplus. This Augment brings a game-changerto the islandofFortnite, to whoever gains access to the passive ability.
Sniper Surplus allows players to load an extra bullet into their sniper rifle’s magazine. Consequently, for the Heavy Sniper Rifle, players will be able to shoot twice before having to reload. This can be extremely useful for players who may have missed their first shot.
5Chug Gunner
Sometimes, augments can be lifesavers. Literally. Chug Gunner will place a Chug Cannon in the inventory of the player, with a fully charged amount of shots, players will quickly be able to spam the Chug Cannon to heal themselves or their team.

It’s a great use of support, as the Chug Cannon can be fired at teammates with great range and tracking, for 20 health or armor. However, it takes up two slots, and there are plenty of other meds inFortnite.
4Bloodhound
Everyone has had that one teammate that just refuses to tag enemies, whether it’s on the map, or hitting their target. Thanks to Bloodhound, players thatshoot at their enemieswith a marksman rifle or a bow shot will have said enemy marked for their team for a decent duration of time.
Highlighting the player red, this target becomes bright as day, with members of the team able to see when this marked player is hiding or healing, making it all the easier to track them down and eliminate them for that Victory Royale inFortnite.
3Medium Ammo Amp
The new Augments have really shown some love for weapons that utilize medium ammo. One such Augment is the Medium Ammo Amp, which makes it so that weapons that use medium ammo have a larger magazine capacity.

The increase in magazine size is about 20%, which means the Red Eye Assault Rifle magazine goes up to 30 bullets, the Havoc Suppressed Assault Rifle goes up to 34, and so on. This pairs great with the Havoc Suppressed Assault Rifle since the weapon relies on continuous shooting.
2Aerialist
The Aerialist Augment makes a welcomed return inFortniteChapter 4 Season 2, as players were frequently using this ability in the last Season. The Aerialist Augment allows the beholding player to deploy their glider whenever they want.
This opens up major gameplay possibilities for that player, such as building a sky base, taking the high ground with no risks, and gaining incredible distance across the sky when needed. This isn’t a niche Augment either, meaning any player can make great use of it.
1Light Fingers
Light ammo weapons inFortniteare fairly well known for their fast reload speed. Looking at the Tactical Pistol and the Twin Mag SMG, their reload speeds are unmatched. Well, with the Light Fingers Augment equipped, players can reload their light ammo weapons even faster.
Since light ammo weapons are usually the follow-up to a shotgun blast in close-range combat, players can safely use their SMG or pistol while taking almost less than a second to reload that weapon. This can be a lifesaver in a firefight.
