Summary
Genshin Impacthas finally revealed the first half of the Event Banners coming in Version 4.8, highlighting Kaveh’s triumphant return after not appearing in twenty banners. While the focus firmly remains on Natlan after the debut of its colorful cast, there is plenty to be excited about in Version 4.8.Genshin Impactwill be adding its final character in the Fontaine era, as Emilie will join the playable roster during the second half of the patch.
Emilie’s ability kitrevolves around Burning as an Elemental Reaction, which makes her an ideal teammate for Ganyu and Wriothesley Burnmelt teams, as well as certain Burgeon builds featuring Furina. However, Emilie’s potential is expected to further increase in Natlan due to the impending release of Burning-friendly characters such as Kinich in Version 5.0. Emilie and Yelan will headline the second half of Version 4.8, but players can also look forward to some useful additions during the game’s first banner.

Navia and Nilou are scheduled to be the featured 5-Stars in the first half, with the 4-Star characters and weapons appearing during the banner shaping up to be Bloom-focused. Not only is Nilou returning to the Event Banners on Jul 10, 2025, but she will also be joined by Kirara and Kaveh, two 4-Stars that synergize well with the Star of Zubayr Theater. The final 4-Star character on the banners will be Ningguang, who is great atgenerating Crystallize Shards for Naviain the absence of better-suited options such as Zhongli.
Genshin Impact Version 4.8 First Half Event Banners
In terms of Signature Weapons featured on the banner, Verdict and the Key of Khaj-Nisut are a formidable duo on their own, further enhanced by the appearance of Xiphos' Moonlight. Not only is the Key of Khaj-Nisut thebest option for Nilou inGenshin Impact, but it also remains a powerful alternative for Furina and Kirara.
In addition to being on the Event Banners as featured characters, it should be noted that bothKirara and Nilou will receive alternate outfitsin Version 4.8. While Nilou’s new appearance will require premium currency, players will be able to obtain Kirara’s alternate outfit by participating in the Flagship Event of the patch. Version 4.8 will take place in a temporary zone, once again tied to the mysterious Hexenzirkel, and it will likely be the last piece of underwater content inGenshin Impact, at least for a long while. Version 5.0 is expected to launch in late August 2024, which will debut the first three Natlan characters.
