Of course, no game is without its glitches, andGod of War Ragnarokhas a number of bugs. Most of the time, the Ghost of Sparta merely has to deal with some sort of graphical hiccup or loading error rather than a true game-breaking or sequence-breaking bug. These small issues make for hilarious clips and screenshots, though, and the internet is, of course, loving it.

Reddit user MissionMan007 posts a clip of Kratos clipping through the ground after grappling to a spot using his trusty Blades of Chaos. This causes the player to see the underside of the playable game area, and even flips the world over, creating a jarring graphical effect. However, it is quickly resolved by Kratos simply grappling back up “out” of the ground and into the map again. In a game that is so detailed (likeone detail inGod of War Ragnarok’s Thor boss fight), it isn’t surprising that there are some graphical bugs and small issues.
Some of the most widely acclaimed and highly rated games still have glitches. For example,aBreath of the Wildglitch clips an entire Guardian through collision, but that doesn’t change the fact that many gamers seeBreath of the Wildas a unique and engaging game with compelling gameplay. In the same way, thisGod of War Ragnarokglitch, as well as its other small issues, doesn’t completely overturn the good reviews.
Although it is true that every now and then, there will be a glitch that breaks immersion for most players and creates a lot of problems, most glitches and bugs tend to be harmless. On top of that, most graphical and physics engine glitches are downright hilarious in popular games, like aglitch inPokemon Scarlett and Violetthat sends Jigglypuff flying. Gamers and fans of different franchises are usually quite forgiving of things like this, and fans ofGod of War Ragnarokare likely to be as well.
