Rockstar has announced limited-time bonuses for assisting Dr. Dre and some other memorable characters inGrand Theft Auto Online. This short-lasting promo arrives days after the release of theGTA Online1.66 update.

Back in late 2020,Dr. Dre made hisGTA Onlinedebutalongside DJ Pooh, with the duo being part of a varied character cast featured in a heist set on the private tropical island of Cayo Perico, one of many locations released in a post-launch update to the hit game. The unique mission tasked players with locating the famous rapper and producer’s phone containing “the hottest property in the city,” unreleased music from Dr. Dre.

Some 30 months later, Rockstar is giving out new incentives for completing this adventure, as well as an array of other content initially introduced as part of The Contract update which reunited players withGTA 5protagonist Franklin Clinton, who became a manager of an agency specializing in “celebrity solutions” by the events ofGTA Online. During a seven-day window ending March 8, players are able to earn double the GTA bucks and RPs for completing Security Contracts and Dr. Dre’s The Data Leaks mission, in addition to netting 1.5 times greater rewards for doing Payphone Hits.

Since accessing all of this content requires an investment in Franklin’s company, Rockstar is also making it easier for new players to get started by offering a flat 40% discount on all in-game agency properties during the promotional period. Select weapons, clothing, and other items associated with The Contract update are also on sale for the week. Additionally, merely logging into the game by March 8 will net all players a free White WCC DJ Pooh Tee, in honor of the famous rapper thathelped Rockstar convince Dr. Dre to appear inGTA Online.

The newly introduced promo is an ideal opportunity for anyone who still hasn’t gotten to completing The Data Leaks mission to do so. Apart from these limited-time bonuses, thisGrand Theft Auto Onlineadventure still comes with its original reward in the form of six Dr. Dre tracks featuring collaborations with Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Busta Rhymes, among other renowned musicians.

Given Rockstar’s long history of celebrity collaborations, Dr. Dre is likely not the last famous rapper to appear in aGrand Theft Autogame. Not least because50 Cent hinted at being involved inGTA 6just several days back.
