Gunfire Rebornis an excellent example of an indie game capitalizing on early limited success to become a fast-growing and increasingly popular game.Gunfire Rebornfirst launched in November 2021 exclusively on PC. The four-player co-op first-person shooter found instant success, providing the resources for developer Duoyi Network to bring the game to new platforms. Next came iOS and Android devices in early 2022, but that was just the start.Gunfire Rebornis now coming toXboxplatforms as an Xbox Game Pass release.
Showcased during theXbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022,Gunfire Rebornreceived a striking endorsement from the team at Xbox. While Duoyi Network is still planning to bringGunfire Rebornto PlayStation platforms, it confirmed its console release first on Xbox platforms. The co-op shooter will launch on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in October 2022, published by 505 Games.

Not only willGunfire Rebornbe brought to Xbox consoles later this year, but a deal with Microsoft will also be bringing the roguelike shooter to Xbox Game Pass, too. All Xbox Game Pass platforms will be included, soGunfire Rebornwill launch forXbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, and will have support for Xbox Cloud Gaming through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, too. It’s not necessarily a Day One release sinceGunfire Rebornis already available on PC and mobile, but Xbox gamers likely won’t mind.
Gunfire Rebornis a roguelike experience where levels and loot are randomized to create exciting paths of progression. Players will start the game with a single hero unlocked, the Crown Prince, with more available to unlock by leveling up and earning Soul Essence currency. What makesGunfire Rebornstand out is that, while it can be played entirely solo, it also supports co-op adventuring with between two and four players.
As for whenGunfire Rebornwill be coming toPlayStation platforms, it wouldn’t be surprising if an announcement is coming in the coming days or weeks. The October release window forGunfire Rebornon Xbox platforms could also be the release window for PS4 and PS5, but Xbox secured a marketing deal to push its Xbox Game Pass availability. The last that was officially announced was thatGunfire Rebornis coming to PlayStation in 2022.
