Updated March 15th, 2024 by Russ Boswell: The frontlines of Helldivers 2 can be an unforgiving and painful place. Players will find themselves struggling to complete missions against hordes of Automatons or Terminids and the chaos of the battlefield can take its toll. Thankfully, Helldivers 2 lets players lighten the mood with an array of fun, useful, and funny emotes. Buying new emotes and using them is easy enough in Helldivers 2. To better show playershow to Emote in Helldivers 2, the following guide has been updated with a companion video.

How To Choose An Emote

Emotes cannot be changed during a mission. To choose an emote, you must be on either your ship or your ally’s ship. Once there, navigate to the armory, where you customize your weapons and armor. Select thethird tab labeled Character, and then choose Emote — thethird option in the list, positioned between Voice Pack and Victory Pose.

Here, you may view and select all theemotes you have unlocked. Keep in mind that it will not display any emotes you currently don’t possess. The default emote, available to everyone for free, is called the Casual Salute. While it looks decent, it’s nothing too impressive.
