Merlin Trials are scattered around everywhere on the massive map ofHogwarts Legacy. The Trials are a form of challenge that offers players a small puzzle to solve. Every time a certain number of puzzles are solved, the protagonist gets the chance to increase the Gear equip load.
Among all the available Regions, Feldcroft is one of the few ones that contain more than 10 Merlin Trials inHogwarts Legacy. Some are next to each other and can be reached immediately by traveling to a Floo Flame while the others are a bit far away and require a mount inHogwarts Legacy.

The legendary sorcerer Merlin left various puzzles scattered around the world of Hogwarts Legacy and Students are tasked with completing the Trials.While exploring Feldcroft, players will notice that some of the riddles can’t be solved as they require certain Spells that haven’t been learned yet. This is why Witches and Wizards must always come prepared with the necessary Spells, as it makes solvingFeldcroft’s Merlin Trialseasier.
Feldcroft Region Merlin Trials In Hogwarts Legacy
There are a total of 16 Merlin Trials found in Feldcroft Region. Each one requires Mallowsweet Leaves to activate. The Trials are:
Merlin Trial #1 - Stone Pillar Puzzle
Head to West Hogwarts Valley Floo Flame in the northern part of Feldcroft Region and go south to reach the Merlin Trial. To solve it, players must useConfringoto destroy five stone pillars. UseRevelioto pinpoint the pillars’ locations.
Merlin Trial #2 - Stone Cube Puzzle
From the first location, head north to reach the second Merlin Trial. Players must defeat the enemies before activating the Trial. Here, usingFlipendois crucial torotate all three symbol cubes and match the top to the ones on the bottom pillar.
First Cube Puzzle Solution
Head to the pillar to the east and use Flipendo on the first symbol then repeat it on the second one until the top and the bottom symbols match.
Second Cube Puzzle Solution
Go to the pillar to the west andcast the same spell twice from side #1, then once on the second and third symbols to match them with the lower part.
Third Cube Puzzle Solution
Walk south from the second pillar to reach the third one and cast Flipendo once on the first symbol to solve it.
Merlin Trial #3 - Platform Bridge Puzzle
Fast travel to the North Feldcroft Floo Flame and fly west to the third Merlin Trial. This one however is guarded by enemies. Upon defeating the Goblins, activate the Trial.To solve the puzzle inHogwarts Legacy, head south and climb the wooden platform to the highest level then jump on the white platforms without falling to the ground.

Merlin Trial #4 - Stone Pillar Puzzle
From the previous location, go northwest to reach the fourth Trial. Same as the first one, use Confringo to destroy the five pillars.
Merlin Trial #5 - Platform Bridge Puzzle
From Rookwood Castle Floo Flame, head northwest to find the fifth Merlin Trial. Activate the Trial and jump on all the platforms without missing one or falling in the water.
Merlin Trial #6 - Brazier Puzzle
Fly north from the fifth Trial to reach the sixth. There are three braziers players must light with a firespell inHogwarts Legacy. All need to be lit before one reaches the ground, so this puzzle requires speed.

Merlin Trial #7 - Orbs Pillars Puzzle
Players can walk or fly east from their current location to reach the seventh Trial. Nine orbs must be destroyed to solve this Merlin Trial.
Merlin Trial #8 - Broken Statue Puzzle
Summon aBroom inHogwarts Legacyand fly southeast to the next Trial.Reparois crucial to repair the three broken statues. Use Revelio to mark the statues’ locations.
Merlin Trial #9 - Stone Pillar Puzzle
From South Feldcroft Floo Flame, proceed northwest to find the Trial. As usual, five pillars must be destroyed using the Confringospell inHogwarts Legacy.
