As players research better ships in a game ofHomeworld 3they will eventually get to theCapital Class ships. These are the largest ships players can build and have the capacity to fight swarms of smaller ships without taking too much damage themselves.
The first Capital Class ship players will get access to is the Carrier, which may not be able to fight as hard as the other two Capital Ships but still carries its own weight in terms ofutility on the front lines. From a Carrier, players can build additional ships, doubling or even tripling the production of ships while also resupplying destroyed ships right on the front lines while still keeping their Mothership safely away from any combat.

How To Build Units From Carriers In Homeworld 3
The first step is to build a Carrier which is mostly similar between the two factions, requiring the first Corvette and Frigate to be researched before researching the Carrier. Once a Carrier is built it can be controlled and moved around just like any ship.Players can have a maximum of two Carriers built at once, and both can build ships independently of the Mothership.
To build ships from the Carrier, open the Build/Research menu in the top right of the screen Hotkeyed to B. Along the top of that menu will be, “Mothership”.Selecting Mothership will open a drop-down menu where players can select, “Carrier"to change the menu to any built Carrier. Changing this menu to a Carrier will also have a white line on the screen connecting to the selected Carrier so players know which one they are currently building from. The Carrier menu will look almost identical to the Mothership menu with just the picture of the selected ship being changed. Building ships from this menu will have them be built and spawn from the Carrier instead of your Mothership.

What Ships Can Be Built From A Carrier In Homeworld 3
Building ships from Carriers can help playersbuild two or three of the same ship at the same time to greatly speed up production.Carriers can research new ships too, but a new ship only needs to be researched once at either the Mothership or a Carrier to be built anywhere. While Carriers are too small to create other Capital Class ships, they are able to build any of the smaller ships listed below.
