What makes them even more special is the fact that they’re based on real dishes, which someGenshinfans have recreated, and that the characters each have their specialty dishes they share with players.
Honkai: Star Railhas a number of consumables that players can either produce through the Omni-Synthesizer or purchasing them in stalls. In terms of edible food items, they may not be as detailed as thedishes inGenshin Impact, but they’re just as useful for healing and buffing up characters' stats. Plus, what makes them unique is that they further immerse players in the game’s space fantasy vibe.

Astral Express
The Astral Express Crew seemed to favor a lot of rice and noodle dishes, as well as sodas, probably because they’re easy to cook and eat during their adventures. That being said, the recipes for these consumables are automatically added to players' inventories at the start ofHonkai: Star Rail.

Comfort Food:Based on the photo, Comfort Food looks like a ramen bowl. It’s described as lacking character, but would make people feel stuffed.
Diet Fried Rice:It’s basically just a bowl of plain white rice, whichHonkai: Star Railnoted as “The child of human wisdom and nature’s gift.”
Energy Drink:The Energy Drink comes in two variants: regular (red label) and sugar-free (black label). Both promise to energize anyone that consumes them.
Trick Snack:This packet of cooked seeds was said to have the same consistency as popping candy. According to its description, it was created using Vortex Theory.
Jarilo-VI
A planet mostly covered in snow, the dishes inJarilo-VIreflect the citizens' frosty environment and their resourcefulness in harvesting ingredients for certain delicacies. The food here can be bought at Turner’s Food Stall and various vending machines, or acquired from NPCs after accomplishing certain quests.
Belobog Sausage:Described as a national delicacy manufactured by the Belobog Meat Factory, the Belobog Sausage is a processed meat product believed to be made from pork.
Crystal Lizard Satay:Crystal Lizards are usually found in the Underworld mines, and citizens would turn them into a skewered snack. Zoologists also mentioned that the by-product of the crystals on the lizard’s body should not be eaten.
Deep-Fried Rock Crab:Although Rock Crabs have gone extinct due to the Eternal Freeze, it seems like the citizens of Jarilo-VI still continue to enjoy this fried dish.
Jim Roger Bread Soda:Available at Jarilo-VI’s vending machines, this soda is made from crushed dried bread, water, and patented Jim Roger ingredients. Players can also get a bottle by finishing aHidden Quest in Jarilo-VI, where they need to interact with trash cans.
Punitive Energy:Obtained from publishing editor Nika, this energy drink has a strange taste that the Trailblazer heavily dislikes.
Punitive Food:Similar to the energy drink, Punitive Food also has a weird flavor. The recipe can be obtained from Amo the novelist, and it can be used to complete theTrashy Humor achievement.
Rye Bread Soda Iceberg:Made from Rye Bread Soda and Moo-Moo Yogurt, this shaved ice dessert is said to have a strong wheat flavor.
Snapper Jam Appetizer:This fried fish dish is made with sweet Redsunset Jam. According to its description, it’s recommended to use overnight fried fish to cook this dish.
Stone-Grilled Olm:Olm is said to be a type of amphibian native to Jarilo-VI. When roasted, the flesh’s flavor is similar to chicken.
Wild Herb Soup:The soup is made from a bluish moss that’s found in the Underworld. The moss supposedly clears away heat and detoxifies one’s body when consumed.
Yucky Fried Rice:Unlike Cosmic Fried Rice, the Yucky Fried Rice is made by using a bag of trash in the Omni-Synthesizer. The recipe for this can be acquired from Gertie after accomplishing the Underworld Goethe Hotel’s survey. Players will also berewarded a Praise of High Morals.

Xianzhou Luofu
TheXianzhou Luofuitself has a heavy Asian influence, which is reflected in a lot of its food and drink items. These can also be found in food stalls and vending machines, as well as restaurants and mission rewards.
Berrypheasant Skewers:Inspired by Berrypheasant birds that always have fruits hanging from their tails, this fruit skewer is covered in a sweet, caramel-like sauce.
Immortal’s Delight:This isHonkai: Star Rail’s version of a frappe. Immortal’s Delight is “an unhealthy drink” with whipped cream swirled on the top and boba pearls. Players can buy this from Mengming at The Sleepless Earl teahouse.
Mung Bean Soda:Purchased at Xianzhou Luofu’s vending machines, Mung Bean Soda is made from fermented legumes. It’s said to have a sour and pungent scent, but overall a refreshing beverage. The soda could also be inspired by the popular Chinese mung bean tea.
Songlotus Cake:This fried snack is said to make a “crisp laughing sound” when bitten into. Xianzhou gourmands would often serve this to outsiders to tease them.
Steamed Puffergoat Milk:Also known as Gentle Halcyon Milk, this sweet beverage is a Xianzhou Alliance specialty. According to its description, it should be consumed hot as it becomes bitter while cooling down.
Tasty Field Nutrient Bar:This nifty snack was invented by the Cloud Knights, so they could have something sweet and savory to eat in the battlefield. Its recipe can be acquired after participating in theXianzhou Competitive Eater Championship.
Tuskpir Wrap:Named after a Xianzhou beast, the Tuskpir Wrap is a cake roll with a similar design to a tuskpir’s fur.
Whale-Tide Water:Purchased via Xianzhou Luofu vending machines, this bottle contains water from Scalegorge Waterscape, one of thenew areas inHonkai: Star RailVersion 1.2.
Adventure Mission
There’s one consumable food item that can only be acquired by completing certain Adventure Missions, and it’s Kapo-Kali. Known as “the king of soft drinks,” it’s a special soda made with ingredients such as caramel, canterbury bells, ambergris, and orchid zest. The patent for the recipe came fromHerta Space Station.
Honkai: Star Railis available now for Android, iOS, and PC. A PlayStation 5 version launches in Q4 2023.
