Jujutsu Kaisenchapter 239 is what every fan of the series is currently waiting for. The story is continuing to ramp up and, judging by the way the previous chapter went,the Culling Game arcofJJKmight be in its very climax. The last few months of the story have been incredible as fans were treated to the incredible fight between Gojo and Sukuna. These two characters were destined to fight at some point in the story and it finally happened when Gojo was unsealed in the Culling Game Arc.
The fight concluded a few chapters ago and, immediately on the back of that one, another fight began, this time, with Kashimo taking on Sukuna. Fans knew this fight was going to be short-lived and that is precisely what ended up happening as it wrapped up inJujutsu Kaisen238. Now, it is time for the protagonist of the series, Yuji Itadori to step in and fight against the King of Curses. That is precisely whatJJKchapter 239 is going to focus on and fans absolutely cannot wait.
Yuji And Higuruma’s Tag Team Effort
The vast majority of the fans expect Yuji to be the star of the show inJujutsu Kaisenchapter 239. While that is likely going to be the case, Higuruma should absolutely not be ignored. He is a very powerful character whose cursed technique, which he employs using his Domain Expansion, can prove to be pivotal here. Sukuna is a character who has done lots of evil things and he can be prosecuted using his incredible powers.
If that does come to pass, perhaps fans can see him being weakened in the fight against Yuji. At the very least, fans should absolutely expect Higuruma to get his shining chance before Yuji takes over the battle. As such, the next chapter is most likely going to focus equally on these two contenders and, at the same time, showcase what Sukuna is capable of doing as well.
Higuruma might start by deploying his incredible technique and, if he does so, fans can expect Sukuna to be on the back foot for a while. Of course, at the end of the day, in typical Gege style, fans will get to see that nothing really worked against Sukuna, and then Higuruma could find himself in real trouble.
Meanwhile, Yuji should be expected to fuel his power with rage after what just happened.Megumi has been assimilated into Sukunaand, what’s worse, Gojo is dead. These two characters meant quite a lot to Yuji and they are both gone from his life now. This should be the fuel that he needs to evolve to the next level and fans should absolutely expect him to take his skill a few levels higher inJJKchapter 239.
Yuji’s New Cursed Technique
Yuji Itadori was not born with a cursed technique. In fact, he couldn’t even see curses until very late in his life. However, that certainly does not mean that Yuji cannot gain a cursed technique. Gojo made it quite clear a long time ago that, in time, Sukuna’s cursed technique is going to become his own. It appears that the process for that to happen has already started and this power is now manifesting in him, as was hinted towards the end of the last chapter.
When looking closely at Yuji’s hand, one could clearly see that he has sharp nails on them. These nails were usually manifested when Sukuna took over his body and made use of the Cleave and Dismantle techniques. The fact that Yuji can now manifest them without Sukuna even being in his body suggests that he might have actually gained access to his cursed technique. Fans already knew that he would gain these powers in the future and, perhaps, the time for that to happen is now.
If Yuji does get these powers inJujutsu Kaisenchapter 239, then fans can, perhaps, get to see a few pages where Yuji manages to cut Sukuna. Of course, these techniques are not going to affect him all that much, given that he’s the parent user of the technique, however, the reverse should also be true in that case. Cutting techniques should not affect Yuji all that much since they both share the same technique.
Essentially, this would make Yuji the only person capable of fighting against Sukuna but without the threat of dying, similar to how he had an advantage against Mahito.
Sukuna Vs Yuji Begins
Fans can expect Yuji and Sukuna to start fighting in the next chapter. Perhaps, finally, fans might get to see a few pages of someonegrieving over the death of Gojoand the loss of Megumi. It was a rather bizarre decision from the author to not give time for any characters to mourn these deaths. Shoko, who has been one of the closest associates of Gojo, did not even shed a tear. Gojo’s very own students did not react to the fans beyond one panel and the entire thing was handled terribly in the story. Perhaps, now, the author has the chance for some saving face and, depending on how he handles Yuji’s emotional outburst in the next few chapters, fans could be in for a ride.
Fans should absolutely expect these two characters to fight an intense battle in the next chapter. Sukuna was already seen underestimating Yuji in the previous chapter, however, given the fact that the protagonist could potentially get a cursed technique and, on top of that, is fueled by rage, one could actually see Sukuna on the back foot for the first time as Yuji finally gets to fulfill his potential and evolve to the next level.
Another Character Death In Jujutsu Kaisen 239
Jujutsu Kaisenchapter 239 could very well see another character die. Fans have seen quite a few of them get killed off over the course of the last few chapters. Gojo was the most significant one and this death absolutely shocked the fans to their very core. Kashimo was a rather weird one, since nobody really cared about him and he simply came and went without having any real significance in the story.
Now, it might be time for Higuruma to die. Fans cannot expect him to win the fight against Sukuna or even survive it. This is precisely why he might get a moment to shine against him in the next chapter or the one after and, then, eventually, fade into nothingness. There is absolutely a good chance for another character’s death to follow inJujutsu Kaisenchapter 239.
At the end of the day,the fight between Yuji and Sukunaabsolutely has to be one-on-one, at least for a significant portion of it. What the other sorcerers are going to do remains to be seen, however, for now, Yuji is on his own and fans should see him make use of his rage as a means to evolve as a sorcerer and give Sukuna a run for his money. It is time for the protagonist to take the next step and that is precisely whatJJK239 could be focused on.
