While many beautiful games have been released over the last couple of years, it is hard to find one more visually stunning thanKena: Bridge of Spirits. Developed and published by Ember Lab, the game centers around ayoung Spirit Guide named Kena, as she helps troubled souls move on to the spirit world. Even though the game has been out now for almost a year, the developers are not done adding new content for fans to experience.
Recently,Ember Labannounced a free new update that is coming forKena: Bridge of Spirits. While the developer has patched the game in the past to fix bugs and add some new cosmetics, this upcoming update looks to bring some of the most content to the game since it launched in September 2021. It is being called an Anniversary Update to coincide with the game’s first anniversary, and it received an announcement trailer, showing off a number of new cosmetics and features coming to the game.

Among the highlights of the announcement, it was revealed that New Game+ was coming toKena: Bridge of Spirits. With this new feature, players that have finished the game can replay the adventure with everything they had already unlocked in previous playthroughs. Furthermore, fans can take part in “redesigned and more challenging combat encounters.”
Beyond adding New Game+, the Anniversary Update includes a number of other exciting additions. For example, the update will add new Charmstones that change how Kena plays in combat. Furthermore, Spirit Guide Trials is being added to the game, which is a brand-new game mode that includes a variety of challenges. According to the developer, players can unlock new outfits for Kena and different Charmstones by completing these Spirit Guide Trials. However, one of the most notable new outfits called Shadow was revealed to be exclusive to the Deluxe Edition ofKena: Bridge of Spirits.
In addition to this news regarding an Anniversary Update, it was revealed thatKena: Bridge of Spiritswould be coming to Steam. This is exciting news for those on PC, as the game has only been available to play through theEpic Games Storeon PC up to this point. The Steam release of the game will take place on September 27, which is the same day the Anniversary Update will be made available.
