InLife is Strange RemasteredEpisode 3, Max and Chloe break into Blackwell Academy at night to investigate Kate’s (attempted) suicide. After some time-bending sleuthing andan important choice, the pair ransack the school’s swimming pool and go skinny dipping before security show up. When Max and Chloe are discovered, they run away into the girl’s locker room and find another guard approaching, whomay or may not be David Madsen, prompting the player to hide. The player’s goal is toget back to the swimming pool without being spotted— but this is easier said than done.
Remember thatLife is Strangegives the player unlimited rewind power, so any mistakes can be quickly fixed. There are two options for hiding from the security guards here, and the choice has no impact on the narrative. Here’s how to avoid getting caught.
The Toilet Stalls
The easiest of the two options is hiding in the toilet stalls.From the locker room where the player starts, go right ahead and through the open door to the right. Max may see the flashlight of another guard near the showers, but his slow movement and Max’s rewind make him easy to dodge. From the doorway,take another right until Max is facing the blue stallson the wall to her right.

Here,Max can hideeither in the furthest stall from the player or the one next to it– the guard won’t check either. The game camera will also give the player a handy view to check when the guard has left. When he has,dart behind him and go right and right again. Through the door to the left is the pool hall. Going through it will trigger a cutscene that will end the sequence.
The Locker Room
The slightly more difficult of the two hiding places inEpisode 3 of Life is Strangeinvolves dodging the guard in the locker room, avoiding his flashlight. From the starting position,turn to Max’s left and see the group of lockersthat form the center of the room. Hide behind them, sticking to the face which is closest to the starting position, and the camera will pan out to show more of the locker room.
When the guard walks in, he will make his way across the room towards the left. Don’t be fooled, however, ashe will promptly turn around and start investigatingthe right side of the room, not giving Max enough time to escape unless the player repeatedly spams their rewind powers.
As he makes his way along the right side of the room,move around the left side of the locker to avoid him. He will then go through the door the player started in front of and won’t return, giving Max ample time to escape. Go through the open doorway he came from towards the shower room andtake the second right. Through the door to the left is the pool hall, where Max can escape.
