Most people know that streamers and gamers prefer comfy chairs, and often companies will market chairs specifically for gaming. Herman Miller, a furniture company, is partnering with Logitech, a computer gaming peripherals company, to create a new gaming chair for just under $1,500 with an emphasis on user comfort.

The chair will be Herman Miller x Logitech G Embody Gaming Chair. Logitech has had its hand in a number of buzzed-about products, like theG810 Orion Spectrum Keyboardwith its rainbow backlights. Logitech’s website says that the Embody Gaming Chair will focus on ergonomics and offer features that “gamers, streamers, and esports professionals” will all appreciate.

Two of these features are improving posture and eliminating fatigue, which are both issues that gamers withlong hours gaming or streamingcan struggle with. Improving bad posture will have more of a long-term effect than combating fatigue, but both are important to combat for anyone who spends a significant amount of time playing games and streaming. With better posture, gamers will be healthier,  and with less fatigue, gamers will perform better.

The Embody Gaming Chair is curved in such a way to support the back and prevent slouching and line the user’s head up with the monitor, and is partially made up of cooling foam to keep the chair from getting too hot after long periods of sitting. It also uses a method called “pixelated support” to evenly distribute the user’s body weight over the chair, which helps with blood circulation. Ergonomic design and cooling fabrics are a big focus on gaming chairs right now, as seen with otherupcoming chairs like COUGAR’s Argo.

The chair is also easy to personalize, giving users the ability to adjust the chair arms and the seat height, depth, and recline. Although there isn’t a headrest or lumbar pillow, Herman Miller’s website says these features shouldn’t be necessary given how the chair is designed. And while the Embody Gaming Chair isn’t customized to a specific game or franchise like the recently-announcedCyberpunk 2077Secretlab chair, the chair has a smooth, sleek look and is clearly designed for maximum comfort.

The chair can be ordered from Herman Miller’s website for $1,495. There’s no assembly required and standard shipping is free. The website advertises itself as having “no-hassle returns,” and includes a 12-year warranty. With a chair this pricey and with such a long warranty, it should last users a long time and be comfortable while they use it. Gamers interested in purchasing the Embody Gaming Chair should stay tuned for the chair’s release and accompanying reviews.
